Doners123 Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM Teams are as planned for Plymouth but missing Riss and Mulford who go R/R and Morley in. Morley will be interesting to see how he goes again back at Plymouth normally does well. also good to how cluff and trigger do knowing after this meeting klindt gets a new average and potential some big points to insert a team change. Yearbyred Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM Was considering purchasing the stream but given the cost and the fact the Bears have a much weakened team I’m not sure I will now. Unfortunate for the Bears to lose Riss at such a late stage and not be able to get a guest. If the Bears can keep it close for the aggregate point that will be a decent effort.
Popular Post lukeellis
Ridiculous that Riss and Mulford are missing this match,to ride in Germany on Monday!!I stopped going to speedway last year after 50 years, came back this year, tried to give it another shot, what’s the point? No meetings for 2/3 weeks, then when there is half the team missing. The sport is a joke.

Explanation from Team Manager Gavin Parr on Redcar's Facebook page: We tried everything and everybody today to get a guest after Erik informed us this morning that due to his Landshut meeting being called off he was now required at GP qualifying practise along with Jake. No flights from anywhere on Sunday morning could get him to the event on time unfortunately so we have been left in a very difficult position. Personally I can only apologise and promise you all we will still do everything possible to come away with the league points.
Yearbyred
Feel sorry for the busload of Bears fans who travelled down but probably best outcome for the team in terms of result. Poor communication from Plymouth promotion though, no mention that the meeting was in doubt at any stage, even 30 mins before the start when I decided to purchase the stream. SGP Qualifier on a Monday and you can't ride in the UK on a Saturday evening what is it coming too. Is this an FIM ruling ?

I don't understand this part "Erik informed us this morning that due to his Landshut meeting being called off he was now required at GP qualifying practise" Can anyone explain? It sounds as if his Polish match has priority over GP qualifying practice, but his British match doesn't? I'm guessing originally Riss could make it to the Landshut match, but GP qualifying must be harder to get to? Has this ever happened before, a rider due to ride in Britain on a Saturday, has to miss the match because a Polish League meeting the following day was postponed? I think I'm about done with GB speedway now. It just gets more farcical season after season.

Maybe as his Polish League match was postponed the German authorities said you have to do practice at Abensburg, to give you a better chance of advancing to the next stage, the more Germans who do well the better it looks for the sport in Germany. Also it may have been possible for him to get to wherever the Polish match was in good time but to get to Abensburg by signing in time wasn't possible. Edited 21 hours ago by Triple.H.
