Col
Well only one word to describe that, abject. Tigers didn't need to get out of reverse to win easily. Waste of time & petrol. That was enough to put anyone off the sport for life. Minimum effort from the home riders, Musielak aside. A track which offers nothing other than an inside line. And absolutely no atmosphere. Last week, at Leicester, the camera panned on the second bend, garden chair fans, for about 20 seconds... I had to look twice to check it wasn't the Ianb Photoshop of his pensioners facing the opposite way from the track... I presume those pensioners, (quite rightly), pay extra extra for that at Leicester....

To be fair I've been to some other motorsports that aren't too far removed, but no sport body is quite as wilfully blind to it as the BSPA. Now if you don't mind I'm off to the track shop to get a new, laminated, no expense spent team picture. The out of date one with the riders who've been sacked or buggered off to Poland. 😁 1

Ey, steady on, I've still got all my own teeth thanks very much and not a badge in sight! Just pretty pee'd off about tonight's woeful affair. It was painful to watch and to be honest, embarrassing!
szkocjasid
Thought Tolley's interview was pretty embarrassing, blaming the track & seems oblivious to the fact his team isn't good enough. When he said they couldn't water the track the previous day due to work on the start line (transponder cable) couldn't they have still watered the bends, back straight & part of the home straight. The MJJ replacement who will give 110%, doesn't excite me. Can only see it weakening Birmingham even further. Really feel for Brummies fans & hope Tolley doesn't bankrupt himself by seeing out the season.

They'd hardly set the world alight even so but you need that rider to win heat 1, and Musielak isn't it. Musielak has ridden in all seven ht 1s at Perry Barr this season, scoring just four points. THE DEAN MACHINE
Well that was dire, worth about £4 admission,no good blaming the track for Bham’s performance they were just awful, how many bike failures again ? One rider turning up without a steel shoe and had to borrow one off a second halver, they are highly paid professionals it’s not acceptable the track is too smooth too easy to ride and no passing lines available and the racing is all but non existent,it’s not the shape as it’s been a decent racetrack in previous years but this year it’s been awful but as I said that doesn’t excuse the brimmies performance, Sheffield seemed to cope,it was a slightly better crowd this week I thought but if they feel like I did then they feel cheated out £23, barring musielak and to a point zagar as he was ill I’d of sacked the lot tonight Edited June 16 by THE DEAN MACHINE

The fact Musielak won the coin toss but chose gate positions in heat 15 was absurd! Get to heat 15 in contention! I've seen enough of Castagna to know he isn't ever going to be more than a steady reserve in this league. I haven't seen much of Rew but I've seen enough to know he is better than the effort put in tonight. Jeppeson & Hagom looked out of their depth and probably are. The RR was badly utilised, Rew & Zagar both got it immediately after a programmed ride.

That's a typical Adams move always utilised by his dad, to do with bike setups etc. I think if he'd put Zagar out in heat 1, Zagar would never have agreed to go out on that track and if forced would probably have loaded his bikes into his van straight afterwards! I’d driven past the stadium at about 8pm but seems I made the right decision again about not stopping to watch the action on a completely dreadfully prepared track. Tolley’s interview was completely barking. All down to track prep despite being absolutely slaughtered and embarrassingly . The Brummies must be happy that he is the only thing keeping the sport in Birmingham alive. Seems a proper speedway fan but he is off his nut in that interview!
PersonalResponsibility
I comsider myself a dedicated speedway fan - not as much as I used to be, but still - and will watch virtually any speedway meeting, but good grief that was possibly the worst meeting I've ever seen. Zero racing, crap track, crap home side...it genuinely had nothing interesting. I genuinely feel for Birmingham and their fans, but in all honesty, what's the point at this stage? That team clearly isn't bothered, they'll struggle to win another meeting all year, and they're not even entertaining. I don't know what the answer is, but this ain't it. Also, I'm in full support of some atmosphere in British speedway (christ knows it needs it), but what was "barmy army" stuff all about? Just sounded like 2 or 3 annoying fans shouting incessantly.
