Sack everybody and replace them with somebody else who I won’t name because I can’t think of anybody is any better, but that’s not the point… Fair play to Leicester, deserved winners on the night and could have been a bigger margin if not for mechanical gremlins. We just started off too slowly and never really looked like winning. When was the last time we were 12 points down at home? And thank you to BSN for wishing my dad a happy birthday at the end 👍 from memory it was oddly v Leicester in 2023! outcome was the same as well a Leiceter win which could have been much bigger!

Howarth and Kemp have upped their game this year and Douglas is getting better, Masters returning to his old rock solid Wolves form backing up a proper No.1 in Fricke who's dialled in on every British track now. I'd go one further and say that the premiership title is bound for Leicester this year. It's the "Kyle Howarth effect": (wherever he goes he ends up on the winners' rostrum).
IainB
Just watching this back on catch-up and poor old Joe Thompson cuts an isolated figure while the riders were waiting to go on parade, I've noticed this before, everybody else chatting away and him stood on his own staring into the distance... quite sad to see. 2

He's an introvert. That's how we tick. He's most probably quite happy in his own corner.

Maybe, it is a team sport though and I'm pretty sure even introverts like to be included in things.

When he was at Poole his dad i think it was encouraged him to go into the team huddle/talk thing they do half way through the meeting. But from listening to podcasts Klindt has been helping him at Plymouth with advice etc. Out of interest who is the captain?

That was the other place I've seen him stood by himself on the outside of things at Poole... Leicester's captain is Max Fricke, but there's enough experienced riders in the Leicester team to notice he's isolated and to include him more. Maybe that was a catalyst for DT's improvement moving to Ippo and being more included in things there? Edited June 27 by IainB

Joe is an active member of the team at Plymouth, very popular with the riders management promotion and fans. I can see into the pits at Plymouth and Joe definitely included in team meetings and huddles and gets on great with Ben Barker the captain

Might be an aussie clique thing as Kemp was left on his own a lot at Wolves in the pits a few seasons back. Where the team had Masters, Dougie and Morris.
