Some of the individuals involved are certainly solvent. I have no information on how well funded the operation will be.

The consortium looking to buy the stadium and bring it back is made up of 5 business men. 4 of them are very much stock car people, but the 5th - John Whalley - is a name I don't recognise from stock car circles.

2 of the stock car people are the partners involved in the Yorstox company, so I would imagine they would take on the stock car promotion if Coventry returned, but somebody would still be required to promote the speedway side of things.

As an aside something was bugging me earlier today I was trying to remember the name of a danish rider from a few years back apologies details will be sketchy as this was a period  when I had drifted away I wasn't really following speedway apart from the odd sky meeting.

This rider would have been a promising Danish youngster it was around the time Jepsen Jenson signed for Peterborough this lad I think might have turned up on the scene a year later.

I have a feeling he rode as reserve in a world team cup meeting for Denmark I thought it might be Michelson but I'm pretty sure its not he was a rider who many thought was destined for big things but seems to have disapeared but he was around that time when Jepsen jenson and Michelson were coming through.

Apologies for lack of detail but I will recognise the name if anybody has a clue who i am on about it could be it is Michelson but I'm 90% sure it isn't but the name eludes me at the moment.

Did not think this would get to the starting tapes due to the costs involved. Great to see a new track and hopefully for the longterm.

Wonder what kevlar colours green black and gold / claret and white ??? 

Hopefully they can promote it well and build up a solid fanbase.
