Neila
Come on comets fans, and all other fans of other clubs, let's swamp this thread with a load of nonsense, like pilots fans do with all the other threads 😝🤣🏁🏁 UTC

magnus
After Poole's comments about the Worky track, who thinks the track will be deeeeeep and rough? Just hope it's not gate and go..
Bandit59
I've streamed meetings from both teams and Workington definitely provide by far the better racing

Yes they did but Cairns was more impressive as he is very young and the senior reserve should be outscoring him.

Starke then had a second place behind Steve Worrall. Starke then had the struggling Declan Kennedy taken out of a heat & lost to Zaine & Mountain. Starke then faced Mountain & tac sub Worrall! Who should Starke have beaten that he didn't? Worrall or Mountain (who Cairns didn't meet)? You wouldn't expect a 4 point away reserve to beat a 5 point home reserve (Zaine)! Now Cairns obviously came on string as the match went on, beating Zaine twice, which is brilliant for a 2 pointer, I take nothing away from him. But you can't deny Starke had harder rides & scored the same. That's not saying Cairns should have done better, just that Starke is being harshly judged imo. As the senior reserve Starke should be outscoring Cairns plus he did not beat Zaine and Cairns did.

Something about it being slick, gate and go, tyres wearing out, losing the coin toss. All the excuses were coming out. https://www.poole-speedway.com/news/view/20250712-reaction-disastrous-start-left-the-pirates-trailing-the-comets Anyone who was there or streamed it saw exciting racing, what caught Poole out was not knowing what lines to ride. Vinnie, Tate, Fraser, Antti all made great overtakes that night and some in multiple races. On a side note it was mentioned that 300 purchases were made for the live stream that night. Seems to be a success so far.

Not really. Anytime Starke gets 4+ it's been an ok meeting for him. Edited Tuesday at 08:55 PM by LisaColette

Having watched it back, I must admit it came over very well on the stream and a great advert for British speedway, compared to some of the racing which has been televised lately. Wonder if the Redcar meeting will be streamed?

Wonder if the Redcar meeting will be streamed? Probably not, said they would stream long distance meetings ie Oxford and pilots . Redcar meetings usually have a lot of bears fans coming over to Northside. Think the last bears meeting was streamed by comets TV but was a test streaming to make sure everything worked. Apparently 300 streams were sold for the pilots meeting

Neila Posted yesterday at 08:10 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:10 AM Wad coming down for the original scheduled meeting, but due to wife's birthday can't make this one for some reason she doesn't fancy a 800 mile round trip for fish and chips on Poole Quay, and a evening at wimboard Road. Can see a fairly close meeting on the bonus point decided in heat 15 UTC
Woke23 Posted yesterday at 09:29 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:29 AM (edited) The poole post stated it was "gate and go". Were they watching the same meeting as me? Yes, when we (comets) gated, we usually won. However, when we didn't, we also passed a lot to get amongst the points, something Poole failed to do. On another note, I'm unsure how today will go. Our best result last season at Poole was 52-38 in the play offs with Starke top scoring i believe. I expect a loss but not sure how much it'll be. Riders always have excuses why they did not perform like looking down at your bike when you are at the back.
