After the last few disastrous seasons I think you've had a pretty solid season, with a good cup run and a final, certainly something to build on, who knew somebody like Ben Cook would let you down so badly.

Whilst I enjoy watching the Lions away, it’s probably as well that TNT or BSN didn’t cover this. The Updates site suggests this was a s*it show from Lynn and wouldn’t have been worth paying to watch. Some might question The Star’s timing and choice of a T/S, but in all honesty it was always going to mean diddly squat on the meeting outcome. Although Dickson was probably quite surprised how easily Lynn rolled over, he will be keeping a close eye on their riders from here on with a view to potential guest options for the play offs. At this stage though, none of them would be worth approaching as an alternative to the continued use of R/R for Becker.

This meeting seemed to take an age to finish.

Track was not good at all tonight as explained by Buster.Rained quite a bit today as my daughter rang me wondering whether it was still on as she was working in Lynn.Then the heavy downpour near 4pm put paid to any kind of racing.This definitely suited the fast gating Lions.No grip around bends 3+4 where Bomber normally makes his moves.It showed how different the track was when Kemp and NKI got the scores they did.

Buster explained they they put dust down to soak up the rain water but this then left pockets in the track where some didn't soak in.The track then had most of the shale pulled off and then we was left with what we got.FTG in pretty much every race which was inevitable,just remember NKI passing Kemp.

What a pile of pooh. Track may well have been poor, but when you didn't gate it was game over with a few odd exceptions. We didn't gate.....Leicester did, simple as that...

Easily the worst home meeting of the season. Slim play off hopes gone too

The same big changes as last year?? The year before that one?? Oh, & the year before that, & before that etc etc.

In the time King's Lynn returned to the top league in 2011 we've made the Play-Offs 3 times (I think)?? With 6-7-8 teams in it, 3 times in the Play-Offs. Joke club.

Really don't know what King's Lynn fans actually expect.

The management needs to understand & get it drilled in to their skull,

It is that simple.

The nonsense fed from management that 'strength in depth' can work is absolute kak.

Obviously, 6 pointers can have anomalies, i.e. Ipswich away, but there's a reason rider's are 6 pointers. They'll also score 2s & 3s.

8+ at No1 & a 7+ at No5.

If King's Lynn can't afford or attract those rider's, drop down a league.

I have always thought the top four this season was a foregone conclusion. The top four all have big hitters, and I never bought the strength in depth argument this year...

Strength in depth is fine if all of them or at least four hit good scores, the only time Lynn have done well is when at least two of the top five have hit double figures and a reserve has got around 15, unfortunately it’s not happened to often, the tracks utter shyte as well that doesn’t help.

So odd that Iversen was hopeless at Leicester last week and yet is great tonight - coversely Klindt and Harris both have stinkers etc. (am aware track etc)

Confirms for me is that Leicester are on a roll - great to see Joe Thompsn getting more points now, he seems to be on a slower trajectory to Dan but he is making progess!

So whoever does the Proboards updates blamed the lack of grip on the start line for Lynn's woes, as it played into the Lions hands (or should that be paws). Obviously this person has never been to Leicester in the last 5 seasons as they rip the start line before the meeting to produce what I feel is the grippiest start in British Speedway. 

This was the last meeting that I will attend at Kings Lynn this season as the last three times been there has been a delayed start for whatever reason which causes me to miss the end of the meeting as I need to be on the last train back to London at 21:42. I cannot think of another sport that is so amateurish as to have delayed starts. At times the sport does not help itself. Last week delayed for a big crowd, this week for additional track prep.

I stopped attending KL after the fiasco a few years back against Leicester when they only had 1 ambulance at the track and the meeting was held up for over an hour before being abandoned... I then gave them a reprieve when they ran into difficulties after the Brady/Laguta issues to show some support and solidarity and started going again, only to be rewarded by going over from Leicester 3 times last season and not seeing a single meeting raced... needless to say they are back on my banned list again.

Saw people leaving early last night probably wasn't anything to do with the score at the time but due to the time and the over use of the tractors which probably done as many laps as the bikes.

Out of interest with the delay "for a big crowd" what would you estimate the rough size was I'm guessing maybe a thousand ? it used to be a big crowd was north of £3k, it wasn't to many years ago when Poole came down on a bank holiday with Ward and Holder and Buster was quoting the biggest crowd since the mid sixties.

I read somewhere they only had 3 turnstiles/pay points open for the Knockout Cup final and that's what caused the delay.

They only had three turnstiles for the visits of Ipswich. One response was, "get there earlier"!!!  Another was "buy in advance" - but with KL's record for call-offs it can't be that tempting for visiting fans ...
