GeneralMelchett
This is the result I expected in the KO cup match! Good to see Tom hitting form and better results of Dan, seems that despite the poor R/R score the rest of the team just did the jobs expected, curious on the crowd as it as good as last week?
Roger Jacobs
Did the Witches management miscalculate for Thompson last night?! According to the new Rolling Averages, which will be the Green Sheets for September, he is 0.04 above Ellis ... https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2025-rider-statistics/ Edited August 22 by Roger Jacobs

Obviously must be the way Ipswich want the riders. If Dan Thomson was last in heat 15 instead of Jason Edwards then he would be 6.00 and still at reserve. Out of respect for the fans / to increase earnings etc.

He could have easily run another last in Heat 15 just to be sure. Leicester kept Masters just below Becker with some tactical non-scoring. Aries
The win here means if Sheffield fail to beat Belle Vue at the NSS, we’ll finish top if we beat Sheffield at home, even losing the away leg AND the bonus to Sheffield.

TINYS
Not too much passing last night but it finished at a reasonable time 9-15 and the riders were out collecting for the Ben fund. Good to see the tractors not doing about 30 laps 😉

Calm your horses, the money raised is probably inline with attendances of the clubs realistically. I don’t care who gave what as I’m not a rider benefiting from it. Good to see the tractors not doing about 30 laps 😉 They’ve been experimenting with different track conditions the last month or so, trying to find a track that suits everyone. Thursday was far too slick to be honest and there wasn’t a lot of grip out there. Heat 15 a perfect example. Brennan was clearly quicker than Lawson out front and was throwing everything he could at him, going inside and out but just couldn’t find enough to get past. Brennan is riding himself in to good form at just the right time. Looked quick Thursday.
Hackett
FIrst time at Foxhall last week and the racing wasnt great but for a my family this meeting and Kings Lynn on the Mon it was our "live" speedway season. So good to see live racing again. The racing wasnt spectacular but as an Eastbourne fan was good to see Tom Brennan looking quick. Plus Jason Edwards also looked competitive at reserve. Decent set up in general although the promotion could do with concreting the steps on the backstraight - was definitely a couble of wobblers making there way out. Fair play to all that contributed to the BenFund.
