The feature the last couple of years is they seem to do something to themselves that loses momentum just at the point where they could be contending!

oh well onto next year for them!

The Ben Cook injury and covering for him when he was #5 in the averages was the main issue but it was Kvech getting cleaned up in Gorzow which was the dagger to the heart of Lynn's season. Away wins at BV and Brum went begging as a result and he struggled with his shoulder for a while after.

No surprise that we are finishing strongly with the top six all present and fit! As you say what might have been (an all too familiar tale).

Also just been informed that if we'd won that BV away fixture when Jan was injured and beaten them at home in April when we had all those engine failures and only lost by two then we'd be going into Monday's meeting with Sheffield with fourth place in our own hands 😩

The fine margins of sport!

And those engines failures in April mattered but Belle Vue’s tonight didn’t?

Not like you to be defensive about your own team 😁 have a day off with the bias.

Nobody is saying that anything matters more than anything else, its just an example of how things could have been different. And shows that from a Lynn perspective we weren't a million miles away. All ifs, buts and maybes of course.

So don't go looking for a disagreement where there isn't one, theres a good lad 👍

Belle Vue 2 man team away from home as usual

Good result for the stars

Zischke rode well tbf to him. Deserved more than his 5 points from 5 rides suggests. On another night he might’ve scored 8/9 as he was on the pace throughout.

Lidsey was the real let down and he was the key. Expected a far, far better night given his previous record around the AFA. Prior to yesterday, he had scored a very impressive 46 from 25 races in his last 5 visits for an average of 7.36.

That swing was the difference.

Obviously you weren't there.Tate and Mulford done well.3+1 away for Mulford is ok for a rs imo.Cook steady as usual. The only real let down was Lidsey who rates Lynn as his favourite away track if it isn't too grippy.Bewley is so fast on a bike.Kurtz also probably let Belle Vue down in his last 2 rides, well off the pace in them.Going into the last 3 races I fully expected Belle Vue to at least get a draw on the night, but that changed with the downturn of Kurtz form on the night.

Pleasing result for The Aces with better a performance from our reserves. Shame about Jaimon but these things happen and even an average return from him would have seen another away win, not that it was needed.

I was 250 miles away but even I could hear Brady say f*#^ that in his last two rides and it difficult to argue against that when comparing a late season filler to the world crown.

After this, I’m very optimistic about our play off meetings given the form of our bottom four and the scores to be delivered by our top three. Exciting times again on the domestic and world front for Aces fans.

Richard Lawson - rider of the season and should be the first name on the team sheet for next year IMO.

I said that last season but he decided to bugger off to your lot and drop his average by half a point 🤷‍♂️

To be fair to Lawson whilst his best days are (probably) behind him he's brilliantly consistent for whoever he rides for - he was a big fave down at Arena when he rode for us!

Exactly, which is why he should have been the first name on the Leicester team sheet this season but it sounds like we were maybe dithering around and he decided to accept a concrete offer from Lynn. We ended up with Craig Cook!!!!

decent enough meeting, score doesnt really reflect how close it was, this time it was us with the unfortunate bike problems, that happens, as always things even themselves out in the end after lynns problems in the first fixture.

very impressed with tate last night, and once again away from home its the heats 13/15 that cost us really, im shocked everyone still blames the bottom end of the team for the troubles

of course he wasnt there, he just wanted a dig at Belle Vue for some reason.

I was there and that is exactly the impression he gave in heat 13 and 15.

Compared to his earlier rides when he steamed up the inside of Lawson.

Unless Bewley had knackered his bike when he borrowed it...

Bike trouble wasn't it.  I highly doubt Brady decided after 3 rides that he needed to ease off in case he got injured, or may be the stats say yore more likely to get injured in heat 13 and 15 than any other heat.

This hits the nail on the head, if the 2 big boys can perform better in heats 13 and 15 away then we have a chance in the play offs.
