Let’s see if they can ‘promote it’ as many fail to do so… but wish them the best of luck!

Not great that they previously promoted the 2023 & 2024 SGP's at Cardiff, 2023 being the near disaster that they unbelievably won FIM Speedway Local Organiser of the Year prize for. As far as I  could tell it received pretty much zero promotion.

Hopefully they'll be more invested now they're running the whole shooting match, at least they're starting from a pretty low base after the WBD years, so the only way should be up... let's see what the future brings.

Has anyone looked up this on the Companies website? It appears that it was formed on 5 Aug 2025. Just over a month ago.

Yes i did on Tuesday when the story broke. There has been a previous Mayfield Sports management which changed it’s name to Junefield Associates.

On a google search it also came up that a winding up petition had been served previously.

Blimey, we'll be on to Septemberfield by time the new season rolls around.

Winding up petition previously doesn't inspire confidence.

New promotor: Mayfield Sports Events Ltd

Hmmnnnn... Not long now when CCP has to promote the series themselves. Not looking good if you ask me.

But staying positive, Vojens had a good crowd!

"The Grand Prix has faced some challenges in recent years, but I think the future looks bright. Of course, there will still be challenges, but I believe the future will be beneficial for the sport and the fans," Parsons tells us.

What does Parsons say to this? "Sit back, fasten your seatbelts, and pay attention. Things are about to get interesting," the American company's director replies.

There’s also MAYFIELD MOTOR SPORTS LIMITED formed back in 2017 which is still trading albeit a small company in terms of assets & profitability.
If they were the promoters of the last two Cardiff GPs let’s hope they will change their approach of running an event on the cheap whilst charging highest price possible. In other words providing something of poor value.

I don't know what you paid but my last ticket for Cardiff was £23... same as a league match!

Yes, I got a similar deal. Actually an early bird deal on a £20 ticket which cost me £18.
I never understood the ticket pricing at Cardiff. 20K-30K fans paying a fairly modest GP ticket price (say £30-£40) would surely have made that meeting financially viable?
We certainly didn't pay £20 for a ticket to go to the NSS did we? Yes I know all about the quality of the racing and I agree. In fact racing wise I think the Friday meeting this year is up there as one of the best GPs ever. I do worry about the future at the NSS. I can only see them getting one GP next year and to make that pay with all the costs involved could lead to tickets well over £100. Wait for the comments when that's announced.

For me, the original plan of one GP in Cardiff and one at the NSS was perfect. A great day/weekend in Cardiff and a top meeting on one of the best circuits (the best?) in the world was something to savour.
