It's not that he won't be bothered, he and his team are so well organised that everything for the following season is in place before the end of the current season. He is always prepared to race here but British Speedway is too late which is the real reason why he has joined British clubs after his overseas commitments have finished. He may make it happen as World Champion but it's going to need everything laid on and some flexibility on clashes.

It reads as a personal petition not any of the businesses but it would prevent him from being a Director until the insolvency is discharged on the terms set out. If there are no prospects of any financial recovery then a time expiry applies to the insolvency. The circumstances need to be fully disclosed before any opinion can be formed, it happens.

He was kept out of institutions by the Probation Service as a younger person so that he could pursue his passion for Speedway and a possible career to support his rehabilitation and get back on the straight and narrow. He has had many chances and blown them all, still a likeable personality though.

This is a consequence of riders demanding more and clubs agreeing to pay it, if the BSPA/L pay what the sport can afford and the event can sustain then there is no cause for direct criticism. It's always been a prize money event based on finishing positions with the "senior" league having a bike or an engine for the winner up until a few years ago. The bike stopped when Jawa ceased and went into financial hibernation for a while. This prize had a concessionary purchase price to the BSPA/L as well.

You have reminded me of one of the funniest things I've seen and heard in Speedway, after Jackie Biggs kicked off at Eddie Lack over the amount of dog rubbish everywhere having walked across the centre green at Hackney following an EF. Hilarious....

Now if I was losing £10k a meeting and my riders were carrying injuries or with-holding that might just work and save me a few quid but as I'm not in that position I'll go with your suggestion and not get my ego confused with my integrity 😉

At that time under IBA rules regional broadcasters had to comply with producing so many hours of local content which included some sport so 10.30 after the news suited with 1 or 2 ENG type cameras.

We've been there so many times before with good people; Peter Toogood, Rick Frost even Sandhu to a certain extent just to name a few. The man who had the greatest vision was condemned by fans, riders and Promoters for demanding change if ever any of his proposals ever get published openly you will see he was talking about what Richard Coleman is doing and proposing. That man was deposed in a Thomas Becket event, he wasn't perfect and absolute Marmite but he stuck to his vision and paid dearly for it. Oh yes he was called Terry Russell..

It is very clear that a stadium is the preferred option for the residents, the local authority and the would be owners for this to be a community facility that is led by it's motorsport heritage. All of those parties need to come together to enable a sustainable operation to be permitted, it is not as simple as chucking a Sunday boot sale on the car park. Overall consent needs to open the door of opportunity with the right balance of utilisation it could be a huge success.

Overall this is a sensible move and hopefully the commitment is there to see it through. Like many before him Coleman will not be fully embraced by the BSPA//L and will become a disruptor because of his passion, innovation and commercial interest all of which antagonise the status quo. The backstabbers will be sharpening their steel and rinsing their bobble hats, I can't wait to be proved wrong

Except it didn't, he came into Speedway with Chris Morton and David Gordon taking him as a Belle Vue "Trainee" which kept him out of custody at that time. The probation service stayed close and he got off to a great start in the sport only to be poached away from his mentors and then slipped back into his old ways until it all caught up with him. He's bitten plenty of people along the way, mixes with the wrong folk in the wrong places which is why his early release failed and he was recalled. He is a very likeable lad though.
