If they do aqree to keep the 2 leagues, would they not then agree to keep the points limit as is in line with what Danny Ford said had been agreed after the last AGM for season 2026.. That must have been agreed you would think IF Poole had offered Cairns & Rowe 2 season deals.

Are you sure that the 2 year Rowe deal was for '25 and '26? Even assuming they actually mean anything.....

It's one thing to know the team and another to announce it.

Yes but 2 were announced. What I would call news is the announcement of a new rider who is not Lawson/Z.Cook.

I expect Cooper Rushen who has been mentioned by a number as on his way to the South Coast - Plus and perhaps the likes of Morris/Zischke/Bailey (If his Danish dates don't clash), and that's even if he gets in the team bearing in mind he will also have 2 other promising up and coming Danes to compete with, which stayed under most peoples radar as the headline news was ore about Bailey joining Region Varde. Either that or another exciting young 5 pointer. Something similar to what Glasgow got with Nagel on 5 points, but one who could be relied on to turn up and not lose to DK every Wednesday.

I don't see anyone getting announced when league structure isn't known publicly yet. Might give everything away especially if they suddenly announced Jack Holder for example!

Although announcing Lawson wouldn't as they would prob want him in either league.

Still think someone has to move up as they will want to keep the tv deal and not sure they would go for 5 teams imo.

No i am not as don't have access to what he announced in full at the time.

I think he may have even announced it as 18 month deals. All I know is he announced it as yet another Ford type headline grabber to indicate both were signed on the equivalent of 2 season deals.

Of course as you say - If that means anything in respect of UK Speedway anymore.

I sincerely hope that both are as both have hopefully bright futures with scope to improve. Assuming of course Will doesn't shoot up to 6ft 6 inches 🤣

Depends how interested TV companies are in showing speedway tbh. I wouldn't assume they will want to renew.

Any truth in the rumour that there will be drug and fuel testing tonight?

Hope there is drug testing tonight, Cairns said Poole's one of the best tracks in England on the track walk

Not really set the Speedway world on fire since he's started CL... yet to score double figures, living up to the hype was always going to be difficult.

He's been fine. Only Jody Scott has done better of the 2 point reserves, he's nearly a four point rider. I'm not sure what people expected but I think he should be really pleased with that.

I see it's £2 extra tonight, any idea how much the program will be

I personally think it's cheeky to charge the fans £2 more for a match that is no different to any other this season, same riders, same format, same amount of heats etc.

Of course I expect fans will still pay in large numbers, so can't blame the promotion too much I guess.

I guess if there's a massive crowd, there's nothing to stop the promotion adding £3 to the admission next year!
