Workington 2026

Pleased it's him would've been my pick too, they've obviously tried to get Max Perry in, as per his statement. But I think Jamie has the potential!

Here's 3 riders for you, that I think would fit the bill;

Craig Cook

Nicolai Heiselberg

Jamie Etherington

Team total comes in under 40, what do you reckon?

Got 2/3 right, wrong Dane!

Probably a year too early for him in the championship imo, only averaged 6 in the NDL last year, unless he’s a stop gap till they can potentially fit Perry in when the averages change.

Think that’s gotta be the aim can maybe see the new Dane maybe dropping his average with his away performances,o Troy Batchelor be the team man and fo the honours lol,as Perry in the 7 berth with 2years experience will give Workington a chance when going up against other no7 riders

Think the new Dane keeps a 5 average whatever.

Scored 2 points in the U19 final at Northside, but in a round of the British youth championships at Redcar he won the event and beat a certain cooper Rushden. So may do ok in a couple of races at certain tracks hopefully

I do have sympathy for Max Perry. Missing out on a team place by 0.02 pts is unfortunate.

I still think they should bring rising star positions in to the championship.

I also think they need to reconsider how they do it, because young riders shouldn't be missing out on team places because of 0.02 pts.

Maybe force teams to declare their rising star first, making them build their team with that average deducted.

Im throwing ideas around here, but maybe keep rising stars averages at 2 pts until they break 3/3.5 pts. In that case, young riders who are good, but not quite ready, such as Max Perry, would still get team positions.

Thought this had changed now?

Previous seasons it would stay at the assessed unless improved but i thought it had changed last season.

Could be wrong though.

Mitchell cluff came in on a 5 and dropped to a 3 last season .
