But worky in a league of nine teams, if they raced the teams twice, would mean 10 weeks apart, but in premiership the team comes around again in 5 weeks then again in another 5 weeks time, too often imo

That makes absolutely no sense.

Meeting opposing teams twice in a league which runs roughly April to September means meeting twice in 6 months regardless of whether it's a 9 team league or a 6 team league.

What you're suggesting is that the CL season lasts 16 weeks and the PL season lasts 10 weeks, which is nonsense.

So there can't be a 6th team then as they've missed the declaration?

There are several stages to the AGM.   For the first part, only the clubs who took part in the current season are involved.   They go over the finances of the current season, iron out if anyone owes money to any other club, and declare if they want to run the following year.   Presumably everyone except Birmingham has declared an intention to run.

Then for the second part of the AGM (delayed to Jan 6th) they consider any new applications to join the league for next year, and anyone accepted is invited to join in the remaining meetings where they make plans for next year.

I’m just saying why would the Championship reject Premiership Teams if it was on Championship Terms. As @Phil the Ace hinted that the Championship didn’t want them. The Sport is a shambles, obviously Sheffield and Ipswich situation made it even worse. Why did Louis throw in the towel.( what was the REAL reason). Not a word to the Ipswich supporters on the subject is pretty poor all round.Sheffield is just as bad trying to play call my bluff with the sport.

Maybe 2 certain team threw their toys outta the pram because they wanted a Premier league! not including Sheffield in that.

A friend in Poland has told me that Kurtz is very unlikely to ride in Britain next year...

Surely he hasn't ridden in Britain since 2020, that's when he joined a team from the Republic of Mancunia ! who, being in a speedway outpost  are allowed under International law to affiliate themselves with the ACU

I really don't care if he rides in this joke league or not, I was just relaying what I was told, it was not an opinion. Learn the difference...

I was told on Sunday that Doyle will be Ipswich no1 ? And it was from someone who does know Doyle which would means he has to go back on his own statement so who knows but like you I’m just can’t get excited about the premier league, I just feel they are making a big mistake for the sport with 5 teams, as I said on the podcast on Sunday I know they are trying for another team and I know others are trying with other clubs too but as it is right now it’s going to be 5

Oh guys.  Look what you've done.   You've upset Bluey.

How was he meant to know that his reliable source in Poland was so unreliable and clueless?

You're ruining his Christmas by signing all these G.P. riders!

Takes more than a multi alias troll to upset me sunshine...

Bewley signed , thats good to see one English top rider  in the UK speedway leagues.

Got to be  doubt over the affordability of Kurtz (even if he can be assed to race in the UK )  with the lack of money aound in PL 2026. unless BV have a big money sponsor

Let’s hope he can’t be assed (sic) getting injured as apart from COVID in 2020 that’s the only thing keeping him away from UK fixtures for eleven seasons now - unless anyone has links to the contrary.

Belle Vue definitely kept the best team rider in Bewley over Kurtz

Kurtz may well be chasing individual glory again and like last season let his club side down which is understandable

If I was a Belle Vue fan I wouldn’t want a number one who at the business end of the season doesn’t try

Luckily we dont care what opposing fans think.

Brady will be here and 100% of aces fans will be very happy in deed.

Happy new year
