Maybe the new owners are trying to 'strongarm' a couple of GP riders to replace Emil and Doyley and want to get that sorted before any ownership announcement is made?!

If it’s Mayfield Sports, then you’d put good money on at least one GP rider or ex GP rider being recruited. Not sure on two due to the lower points limit and Tom Brennan also likely being in the side.

Sheffield aren't in a race against time, they are running whether or not an investor can be found

I know you're running, I'm referring to needing some financial help to avoid running into financial difficulty mid-season.

Rosco?

The rumour is Pete Adams and that he's bringing a couple of former Wolves riders with him to Ipswich.

We shall see what happens over the next few weeks.

That’ll be Luke Becker nailed on then!

I heard Olly Allen mentioned yesterday so who knows. Least the rumour mill is cranking up to generate a bit of interest..

The two names I heard were Woffinden and Becker but I know the latter is doing 3 Leagues but I'm not sure on the Polish rule for riders who don't ride in the Polish top tier.

Like you said, At least we're getting some rumours now which is better than the deafening silence that we've been getting so that's a positive sign.

I’m not sure our stridghtaways are good enough for sam

All jokes aside, Sam used to absolutely love riding our old narrow track. Always used to say it was one of his favourites in world Speedway, not just Britain. As did Jason Crump!

Pee taking aside agreed he was an awesome rider super talented another one who had a bad crash that blunted the end of his career a bit.

I can remember a world team cup at Coventry where it was a critical race and he was up against Hans Neilson , Sam gated and you could see Hans was faster but Sam held him off with brilliant trackcraft for all four laps.

He was a fabulous Speedway rider he really was. It’s staggering to see such a drop off of top American talent compared to what we saw in the 80’s and 90’s. Penhall obviously, Sigalos, Shawn and Kelly Moran, Lance King, Sam Ermolenko, Boogaloo Schwartz, John Cook, Rick Miller, and then a little later came Hancock and Billy Hamill. America were a real powerhouse in World Speedway and then it suddenly seemed to all dry up for whatever reason.
