This rumoured 1-7 with lawson and jeppesen i dont see as any worse than Leicester built the same way?

Fricke was a race winner, and top of the averages..

You cannot then lose race points when he wins..

The possible Ipswich team won't be winning too many Heats One, Thirteen and Fifteen, I would think given the one and fives for the other teams...

That could easily be an eight point swing as a minimum..

But Leicester now dont have fricke. I'm comparing the rumoured '26 ipswich team to the confirmed 26 Leicester team with dougy at 1

Apologies...

Thought you were comparing this years potential Ipswich to last years Lions...

Ipswich and Leicester, this year, could be of a similar level....

Who cares? Will be the sports biggest challenge.

Ipswich Speedway Promtions Ltd committed to run at the AGM.  Just the same as King's Lynn Speedway Ltd did  (and the companies which promote Belle Vue, Leicester and Sheffield).

Any could be sold at any time,  but they all committed.

So ISPL "made a commitment" to run, even though its proprietor had apparently said previously that he was walking away from involvement in the sport with immediate effect? And BSPL incorporated that "commitment" into their statement that a minimum 5 team league would happen? Really?

I don't understand your problem.   Ipswich Speedway Promotions Ltd is the company that holds the promotion rights to Ipswich Witches.  Chris Louis is the sole shareholder.

Chris Louis didn't want to continue, so his options were to pull out altogether (and have a near enough worthless company) or sell the company's main asset (the licence) to someone else.  He chose the latter, and agreed to sell the club.

Businesses change hands all the time.  I might win the Euromillions this week and offer Buster a million quid for King's Lynn.  I buy the club and its licence, and things carry on, just with a new owner.

Mayfield haven't tried hard enough when it comes to Team Building imo, They could've put out a much better 1-7 than rumoured but the vast majority of the blame lies with Chris Louis for leaving the Club playing catch up.

We really don’t know how they work yet. They’ve come in and cut the money at GP level (understandably) so maybe their plan is to come in at Ipswich and run things cheaply? All the genuine number one’s were already snapped up but none of us know yet if they’d have stumped up the cash to get one of the top liners in even if they were still available.

We’ll only know that and what their ambitions are, from next season onwards because they’ll get a free pass this time due to coming in so late.

We know with Louis that he’s Ipswich through and through and he pushed things to the maximum to get the best team he could. We already had Doyle and nobody would have batted an eyelid if he’d just went with him and then built solidly downwards but he then went and added Emil as well. He could have saved himself a lot of money by just going with Doyle, and then packed in middle and lower order riders below him but he didn’t.

It remains to be seen whether the new people have those same ambitions for Ipswich as Chris Louis did.

How have you taken that from the statement? Cause they aren't showing the prem play offs?

I was a bit confused as well because they’re still showing the same 18 premiership meetings that they did last year. I re-read the statement again because I thought I missed a bit where they all but confirmed a separate TV deal elsewhere!

I don't think theres anything to read into there. They will probably just do a prem play offs pass in September 🤷‍♂️

Mr Doyle didn't seem that confident that Mr Louis was going to carry on regardless.

As in Scott working for BSN? Don’t think that’s going to happen.

Not for BSN.

He works for TV whether it was SkySports or TNT Sports.

BSN's statment confirming season passes with the same amount of PREM fixtures for this season with No Play-Offs basically confirms a TV deal.

I'm not reading the same tea leaves obviously.

Logic states that if the PREM didn't have a TV deal then extra League Phase Meetings as well as PREM Play-Off Meetings would've been included in the PREM season pass subscription for a higher price much like the CHAMP season pass that's £50 extra.

Think you’re reading way too much in to that personally.

Anyway, Nicholls is in.

Maybe I am.

Would be much easier if the higher ups communicated with the fans but it's too much to ask in their minds.

Leaves fans with no choice but to try and work things out for themselves on various topics.

Doyle just got fed up of waiting. Nobody made him an offer. Similar to Ellis reading between the lines of what his father has posted although I’m sure he’ll Correct me if I’m wrong.

We just know the club are running this season. That was confirmed at the AGM so all parties are either 100% sure the sale is going through and it’s just Red tape holding things up, or it’ll be run by whoever regardless.

There's no asset system anymore, so no one is being held back.

I was told at weekend, that Ipswich news should be released middle of this week  (I assumed to go in Thursday's Speedway Star) but things seem very hush-hush.    Sources who are normally happy to spill the beans, are staying very silent, as if sworn to secrecy.  Apparently there are no problems, and I can only think the new promotion was absolutely everything to be in place before they reveal anything.    I don't know why they can't confirm the sale has been completed, even if the team isn't totally finalised yet.  Are they planning a spectacular reveal of everything?

Again, I can't even get them to confirm any team names, but I'll have a guess at:

Tom Brennan    7.05
Richard Lawson    6.83
Tobiasz Musielak    6.63
Danny King    6.50
Scott Nicholls    5.25
Jonas Jeppesen    4.34
Jason Edwards     R/S
             =   36.60

Hi, not heard anything else about when the news should be released?
