It seems a sensible team to me but nothing will or can be announced until the powers at be declare the rules for top tier league speedway in the UK for 2026.

So April then..?😄

Gusts has a 3.00 Prem average, he could ride at 6 instead of using 2 x RS

Assuming the six named are true/accurate then personally I'd rather use two local youngsters with links to the club than Gusts who has a three point average for a reason and was unavailable an awful lot last year.

To me the idea of using Cooper and Jody straight from the Young Stars is even more exciting than the arrival of Fricke (again if accurate).

Also I'd suggest somebody with a bit more experience at 2 would be better than a new foreign rider assuming the six named have been signed.

Personally I wouldn't have Cooper in the Prem & certainly not in the top 6. Let him find his feet at Champ level. If they did start with Gusts & he went missing a lot, simply use Rushen as a guest to get be him experience. If he starts scoring maximums every week in the Champ then look at bringing him in?

I think he would take to the Prem just fine  and he offers so much both on and off the track as a signing. And I think he would be there every week unlike Gusts and put in 100% every race unlike Gusts.

Basically he would be a much better signing than Gusts on pretty much every measure you could think of.

Even better on a 2 though ;):D

The only Rider that fits @ No.2 who finished the 2025 PREM Season on a 4+ GSA is Paco Castagna.

4.00 Newcomer is the only other option.

1. M. Fricke 9.89

2. 4.28 Left

3. C. Harris 6.53

4. B. Cook 6.39

5. J. Kvech 6.91

6. C. Rushen 3.00

7. J. Scott (RS)

Palm Toft on a 4.07 converted ave? Former Lynn rider.

Comparable to Gusts you make a decent point but to say that Rushen is the better / best option for RS is questionable. In terms of development id argue that both Luke Harrison and Jody Scott are ahead of Rushen in regards to ability and experience at higher levels and they still did admirably but certainly not spectacularly at RS.

Every year there is a next big thing and all of those riders are largely progressing nicely but thers a heck of a  lot more Sam Hagon's than there there are Dan Bewley's

I've not said that and it seems he won't be the RS anyway.

If - and as we know its often a big if on here - that 6 is correct, I will be super excited for the new Stars season. All of the named riders are exciting to watch and with a true number one it could be an interesting season.

As for the youngsters, isn't that what the Young Stars team is all about? Rushen looks capable far above his years and likewise Scott has shown he will carry on developing. So what if they struggle against any big names, by the end of the season, with an injury free season, both will be showing other 6s & 7s he way round Saddlebow and maybe elsewhere. These lads deserve to be blooded and I just hope that they will be fully supported and given the patience required

Well I had set aside an hour to go through the deluge of posts you would expect after the big first signing announcement

Now I've read all 3 and have a spare 59 minutes :P:D
