Could well be because I doubt the Premiership would have ran with only 5 teams.

The rumour I've heard is that one of the main influences in PL speedway wants 6 teams and is trying very hard to make it happen

And if if doesn't ?  would have to be 5 I suppose . It is all a bit late in the day bearing in mind how long it has been known Birmingham wouldn't be returning, strong rumours of the Spires not running , Leicester debating whether to go Champship and Sheffield still for sale. Obviously there are possibilities of new/returning clubs further down the line but nothing concrete.

obviously big resistance to go one league in certain BSPL quarters. Wouldn't it be nice if they keep the fans in the loop, they will have to if it isn't sorted by the AGM.

That may lead to more strung out racing with current race format.

You could probably get to Oxford from Northampton in just over an hour by car.

A 36 point limit for a top 5 is a strong league.

Are there enough U19s of sufficient quality to ride in the Prem next season?

Think it'd be better if it was U24 in Prem, U19 in Champ.

Looking at the British U19 from this year and excluding Foord who I think will be too old the top six were Harrison, Scott, Rushen, Cairns, Pjiper and Loftus.

Assuming of course they are young enough at whatever the cut off point is.
