The Rider with the best style of riding.

I'm sure that's what Jem Doncaster and the Witches fans thought at the Oxford leg of the 1985 KO Cup final.

My all-time favourite rider, but 'most stylish' might be a bit of a stretch, there was always a hint of unpredictability about his riding which is probably the antithesis of 'stylishness'.

Uninhibited certainly!

One time that backs up your point is when he broke the track record by about a second and in his next ride was flying and I reckon had he stayed on would've broken it again by another - but he binned it :D

That meeting could also be used on another recently started thread as he was in full camouflage leathers

Quite a character - that could be another thread!

Bobby Ott ...

I once saw him "fall off" but kept hold of the handlebars, kept astride the machine, and then uprighted the bike as it was still sliding across the track!!

He got excluded because Ronnie Correy laid his bike down behind him thinking Bobby had come to grief....

As Ronnie lay there, Bobby was flying down the home straight . 😁

And then was going mad that he got excluded...

He used to practice his balance by riding a unicycle and certainly could ride a bike at angles, but still with speed, that few others could muster...
