Normski
We can now confirm the extent of Reid’s injuries, following his crash at Berwick on Saturday. It has been confirmed he’s suffered a broken t7 vertebrae, along with a broken nose, bruised chin and some bruised ribs. The vertebrae break was stable enough for Reid to be released from hospital last night. He will now require a spell on the side lines as the injuries heal & will do everything in his power to get back to 100% as soon as possible. Looks a real talent. Hoping for a 100% recovery for him and look forward to seeing him back on the shale soon. That Berwick injury jinx has kicked in again.

Bandit59 Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM So we have Dayle Wood on Friday night and Sam Hagon on Saturday night filling some big shoes this weekend on a side note Workington sign Max Perry to replace Jamie Etherington

Dayle is doing well and good on him. He never lacked in effort last year I’m chuffed it’s paying off for him. He knows the Edinburgh track well. Along with VP and Lasse’s knowledge we might just sneak a win. Sam had some really top notch races for Berwick and should do ok on Saturday. Obviously gutted to not have Reid as he was showing he has something a bit special. Hopefully he heals up quickly and we get to see plenty more of him this year. Dayle will most likely score way more at the dale.

Hopefully Hagon has a good meeting to hopefully put Berwick top of the table at Glasgow's expense should we win both meetings at the weekend.

Think most Berwick fans wouldn’t wanted him to test out Armadale😂.Before his unfortunate injury.

Ban would be for failing to ride in UK on Monday due to injury picked up on Friday but which didn’t stop him riding in Italy at the weekend - I suspect he’ll be let off with a warning. The second sentence? Evidence for even thinking like that?

To the point he didn’t think he could ride Monday. Hoping to be back fit for the this weekend with rest and physio.

If a rider has not declared illness or injury to the Referee before the closure of the meeting, as per the Meeting Report, then subsequently provides a medical certificate, they will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of their SCB Registration h) sick or carrying a non-speedway injury. The rider must immediately inform the SCB and their club. A Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness/injury occurring in which case the rider will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of his SCB Registration from the day of the first meeting missed. Im not sure Sam is someone who could be “payed off” he is from a family with a long speedway and motorcycle racing history. Not to mention they have plenty of money of their own. I’m quite sure Sam dosnt struggle financially in his speedway career.
