Fair question, but a rider can guest in any league if (a) he's in a 1-7 in any of our three leagues, and (b) his average is lower than the rider he's covering for

Thanks, that makes sense 😄

I was just wondering if maybe he had made a deal somewhere. I know the Scunthorpe fans have been asking for him lol, but I have a feeling he said he wanted to give Championship a miss this year to prioritise his Polish (Latvian) team?

Interesting either way, nice to see him back racing at Berwick for sure.

Nick is not a good team man. Very self centred . But a very good individual rider who will get better and better

I don't agree with the first part, he can be a very good team rider. Having said that, proper team riding is nowhere near as common as it used to be.

Making a rearranged meeting on that night a no-go.     The previous week (next Saturday) was offered to both Scunthorpe and Redcar -- both declined.     Week after is Belle Vue GP.    Roll on June 13th!

They are quite right to decline after the last 2 Saturday debacles, thought there would have been a Monday debrief on the website about changing the weather apps they use 😂😂😂

Something would have had to happen for there to be a debrief. I’m not sure that even Mr Dodds with his wealth of knowledge and years of experience can put a positive angle on the last two weeks.

Update on former Berwick rider Connor Coles posted on social media today.

Lovely news from Kirsty Coles about Connor
A little update on Connor
Connor has now been transferred from Stoke to Derby and has officially started neurological rehabilitation in a specialist centre.
Although there is still a long recovery journey ahead, this week has brought some really positive steps forward. Connor is becoming much more aware and engaged, communicating more, remembering conversations and slowly getting more like himself each day.
He is now eating food orally again with thickened drinks, has started rehab exercises including the exercise bike, and is walking short distances with support and a frame. Seeing these small milestones after everything he has been through has meant so much to us all.
There are still many challenges ahead with speech, swallowing, fatigue and weakness down his left side, and recovery will take time, but we finally feel like Connor is taking important steps in the right direction.
Thank you again to everyone for all the continued love, support, messages and kindness shown to Connor and our family

I wonder if anybody will see fit to organise a benefit meeting for the lad... it sounds like a long road to recovery for him and his family and I can't believe how under the radar his accident and injuries seem to have gone.

Fully agree with this and I do hope he makes a full recovery. I’m sure like several on here made a donation on the go fund me site and I guess the SRBF has helped like they always do. A benefit meeting would be nice to see and be put into place once Connor can be at trackside to watch. All the best to him and his family. Always in our thoughts.

Take it must be struggling to fit in all the meetings no news about a date for the Poole KO Cup match

we were supposed to start season on April 4th but weather won from April 4th to October 31st is 31 Saturdays. Allowing for British GP & Glasgow GP 29 Saturdays to hold if we had the best season ever 17 meetings

There are stricter cut-off dates for both the BSN and KO Cup meetings this season.

Out of interest can Berwick run on other nights than Saturdays?

That won't really help Poole 😉. Don't we have a big gap in fixtures coming up? Or is it slightly filled with BSN.

Other than Saturdays? Because Zach in Poland? Might have to get on with it without him tbh.
