So we have Dayle Wood on Friday night and Sam Hagon on Saturday night filling some big shoes this weekend on a side note Workington sign Max Perry to replace Jamie Etherington

Maybe Hagon does but away from Berwick Battye is yet to show anything like he does at home. Dayle will most likely score way more at the dale.

To be fair Reid has only had 1 away meeting so a bit early to judge him. Hopefully Hagon has a good meeting to hopefully put Berwick top of the table at Glasgow's expense should we win both meetings at the weekend.

Think most Berwick fans wouldn’t wanted him to test out Armadale😂.Before his unfortunate injury.

Why a ban?

Hopefully Facenna’s haven’t paid Hagon off to try and ensure their progress.

Ban would be for failing to ride in UK on Monday due to injury picked up on Friday but which didn’t stop him riding in Italy at the weekend - I suspect he’ll be let off with a warning.

The second sentence? Evidence for even thinking like that?

Rode in Italy on Sunday but never turned up on Monday at Kings Lynn(finished 2nd in the Italian Championship round) .

Thought he was okay to give it a go Sunday. Didn’t feel too bad during the meeting but pain was way worse few hours after. To the point he didn’t think he could ride Monday.

Hoping to be back fit for the this weekend with rest and physio.

If a rider has not declared illness or injury to the Referee before the closure of the meeting, as per the Meeting Report, then subsequently provides a medical certificate, they will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of their SCB Registration
h) sick or carrying a non-speedway injury.
The rider must immediately inform the SCB and their club. A Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness/injury occurring in which case the rider will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of his SCB Registration from the day of the first meeting missed.

Im not sure Sam is someone who could be “payed off” he is from a family with a long speedway and motorcycle racing history. Not to mention they have plenty of money of their own. I’m quite sure Sam dosnt struggle financially in his speedway career.

What a miracle. I didn't think you'd be the one defending this sort of rubbish. It doesn't bother me either way - I don't support either club - but this sort of thing is commonplace in British speedway now. There's no need to defend it.

I’m not defending it, it’s genuinely what happened. Had his flights booked the lot to fly in on Monday and had arranged to be picked up from the airport to head to the track.

“Best interest of the sport rule “has been applied again.🤔😂

Enjoy that tonight. Could hear everything clearly, some decent racing, big home win and the aggregate point. Daughter got some signatures on her program she filled in herself for the first time. My son was looking for Buddy the bandit but couldn’t see him. Anyone know why he hasn’t been around this season?
