Or maybe. Needing to get all of the ducks in a row. 2 preferably 3 more teams required so a TV deal can be completed in line with requirements of new significant sponsor which enables longer term planning to have some traction. Without the first the other two can’t happen and resistance from championship clubs who are “alright thanks” not playing ball unless they unlike other Premier clubs, receive (unreasonable) upfront guarantees. Time required for negotiations?

When well meaning enthusiasts who are happy to spend hundreds of thousands on their hobby get some independent leadership and administrative structure... And when the sport stops getting treated as a personal plaything and starts getting treated as a bona fide team sport by so many... And when £200k is shaved off the riders payments across the 80 or so riders, (on a % pro rata basis).. Riders, who are pretty much completely unknown outside the Speedway Bubble, and bring in hardly any extra bums on seats, and this money is then handed over to a marketing company who just might be able to get these riders recognised, (and more importantly the very sport itself), and bring a few more in.. Sadly, no chance of any of the above... Edited 31 minutes ago by mikebv

I would like to be right too. Not sure about the odds though if the bookie is the sponsor waiting for the promoters to see sense....Oh on second thoughts by comparison the 5000/1 odds of Leicester City winning the Premiership may would have been a certainty.
