Kieran22222
They could promote one of the teams in London that would be local to Chelsea fans. Just a shame there aren't any

Of course, not all Chelsea fans live in or close to West London, so maybe offer them tickets to their nearest club free of charge or at a discount - Oxford not far away as an example. Talk to the owners, who must see some value in a speedway promotion, about how it could be developed - given the hundreds of millions of pounds they have thrown away on players it would only need a miniscule amount of their investment directed at speedway to make a vast difference. Who knows, they might see interest in a British Open staged at Stamford Bridge. Or, of course, speedway can just ignore that a multi billion pound industry has shown interest in it, however tangential that may be, and miss a potential opportunity. If you never ask you'll never know.

Kieran22222
You can then explain to the Chelsea fan that Oxford had three teams to keep the sport running and then had Charles wright riding for them on a monday and then against them on a wednesday
RoundTheBoards
I'm a bit confused what this has got to do with Stamford Bridge speedway. It refers to the clothes being in their racing colours of green..... But Stamford Bridge's colours were blue and white. It refers to Gys Kuhn's racing number of "42", but I'm not aware of Gis Kuhn ever racing in a number 42 jacket. Are Chelsea just flogging merch and linking it to speedway without doing any research whatsoever, and just making stuff up?

Or just don't bother and miss out on a potential opportunity

They also using a 2 valve Jawa for the photo shoot which wasn’t invented for another 25 or so years after the bikes went round Stamford bridge
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Surely Speedway Futures Ltd must own the marketing right to 'Speedway' Belle Vue know some good lawyers - time to sue

CrystalCastles
I wouldn't have thought Chelsea's aim was to be historically accurate about the history of Speedway. It is purely going to be about selling Merchandise. Positives for me, is at least the idea of the range has been inspired by Speedway, Stamford Bridge's history and is a reminder of that connection to the sport, which lots of people have absolutely no idea about.

Glen
And tell them footballers earned £10 a week and speedway riders £100 in those days!

Sounds as though they're just using our profile to get themselves some easy publicity. It's shocking, really. You'd never get speedway using a football connection to do the same thing.
therefused
looks more professional than anyone in speedway has done ever to be honest, and its just for a merch drop.
Ben91
Shame the sport can't stockpile riders like Chelsea have with players. 1
