Comets beaten by the best reserves in the league, but WOW heat 15 was another level, most of the races were good, like to see my team win, but if racing like this I served every week will enjoy my speedway 😃

Really enjoyable meeting. Yeah, it's nice to see your team win. But it's even better to see good racing. Don't think it was a case of Comets reserves being particularly weak, more a combination of a really strong Bears reserve pairing, alongside a missing Jakobsen. That meant a struggling Comets pair had to take 10 rides between them (would've been 11 without a tac ride). I mean, Redcars reserves got a 5-1 over Howarth!

Finding a decent 5pt guest for Jakobsen is always gonna be tough, and rr needs 1 of your reserves to be scoring points. And against Redcar that's a big ask.

At least Jody Scott won't be at reserve all season, although whoever replaces him will still leave them with a strong reserve pairing.

Comets top 4 all rode well. Klindt outstanding once again round Northside, the fact Jeppeson gave him a race in ht 15 speaks volumes about how well he's riding.

What a meeting , credit to all riders, some fantastic racing. Ht 15 was worth the admission money alone.

Redcar reserves must be the best in the league both Jody and Ace rode fantastic . Allen good value, Klindt so fast, brilliant to watch. Jeppersened never knows when he's beaten. Howarth great guest.eee Comets were always going to find it tough with missing riders and so it proved. However i would take a loss every week to watch racing of that quality. If you want to watch quality speedway please pay a visit to Workington.

Yep, don’t know why tracks are so slick, gaters or one liners in uk ,build or prepare a decent track and riders come out to play as seen tonight, bears have good side even with 3 and 5 having a bad nite, Workington tried , opportunity lost, missed cooky as most teams always have, guests never the same but howath was good choice

Well done the Bears best team won today, you caught us vulnerable and ruthlessly exposed our frailties.

It is notable just how much Jody Scott has progressed since his 4 from 4 for the Bears last season after replacing Tom Spencer in the Bears septet. He has an able ally at reserve in Ace Pijper and it was the 17 points from these two that won the meeting for the Bears. Somewhat surprisingly Jake Allen decided to turn in his best meeting at Northside, same rider only scored 3 points over two meetings for the Scorpions last season, must be the magic Bears race jacket that does it.  Nicolai seems to save his absolute best for Northside, his race with Jonas in heat 15 was a bit special.  Jonas has impressed with how he treats his racing and just what a fierce competitor he is, an absolutely joy to watch.

Real shame we haven't managed to qualify for the semi finals after the hard fought victory at Scunny last night.

Special mention to Steve Lawson, great track prep, with a moisture content that facilitated a high standard of racing throughout without any noticeable dust. 👍
