LEICESTER’S home clash with King’s Lynn on Thursday has been postponed.

The track at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park is underwater after heavy downpours on Wednesday, and similar conditions are forecast for Thursday.

A new date for the meeting is to be confirmed.

Fair cop guv! Still, bit premature isn’t it? With all the tech nowadays you’d think weather forecasts would get more accurate, but they’ve actually got worse! They change hourly and I always think it’s better to wait until the morning of a meeting when you get a more accurate forecast for the day.

BUT, I don’t live in Leicester and you’ve already said it’s rained heavily today. Maybe the damage has already been done I don’t know.

It's a shame,I think all call offs should be done on the morning of the meeting where a westher forecast is concerned. For instance today was forecast for heavy showers here and were predicting over 80% chance. We have had very little, and that was first thing. The forecast tomorrow is better than it was today,so you would have thought they would at least wait until tomorrow morning.Although on the flip side a better forecast may be the opposite i suppose.

Panic too early in my opinion.
