Ipswich Witches 2027

Recommended Posts

Be delighted to see doyley back, should’ve moved heaven and earth to have him back mid season this year when he signaled he wanted back in the uk league racing!

If rumour is true Musielak is off to Northampton that’s a real disappointment for me, he was a shining light in a difficult 2026 for the witches and showed real commitment all season!

I hope we’ve managed to get a very good no.5 to partner with Doyle at the top end of Musielak isn’t to return for 2027

Musielak wanted to stay at Ipswich but was told there was no room for him this year.

Northampton it is.

Hopefully, for Northampton, not at No1....

If my last post on the Northampton thread is correct then Tobi will be No.1 and that would make sense as to why Ipswich have released him.

Mayfield must have somebody better lined up otherwise they wouldn't release Tobi just to have King @ No.5.

Must have otherwise it doesn't make any sense, Tobi's maxed out his GSA fair enough but you still don't release him unless you've got somebody better lined-up.

For example it's beyond stupid to release Tobi in order to run Nilsson or King @ No.5.

I think the Woryna deal is on and the polish press are wrong.

Bewley 8.78

Wroclaw Pole 4.00

Woryna 8.00

Brennan 5.91

Doyle 8.40

2.91 - not sure if the averages of Bewley/Brennan have % reductions already, obviously if it has already, then I know, will need a wiggle about! Realistically would then be King for Bewley and another 4.00 rider.

RS

Having moved to 20 minutes from the stadium, that would get me there every week :D

Mikkel Andersen? Fit nicely in that last spot on a 6.00 which fits a 38 limit for top 6. And uses the Wroclaw connection

Think his calendar is now full mate, pretty sure I saw the other day he’s fixed up in Poland, Sweden and Denmark.

Brennan announced for Oxford, Will bounce back next season with the extra confidence and meetings under his belt.

King and Brennan is the perfect 3 & 4 pairing in order to be dominant at Home rather than winning 48 - 42 or 47 - 43 which won't wash come play-off time.

Are you convinced Woryna would be an upgrade on Tobi? I like him absolutely would to see him over here and clearly he’s reached a higher level on the continent but that doesn’t guarantee being a better level in uk - tobi knows all the tracks and has proven to be committed to riding here, would be a great no.5 for Ipswich and a shame for me he’s not back when he clearly wanted to be

We're both on the same page with the 1-7 then lol.

Mayfield really should be winning the battle for Cairns imo, Sheffield can't throw money around in their position and the only way Cairns stays at Belle Vue is if it's a Club over Money decision imo.

The fact that his Dad has been talking to Richard Coleman according to a fellow member suggests that he's trying to get his son the best deal possible no matter which Club Will lines-up for.

Imo....

Around Foxhall -> No because I think only a handful of non-Ipswich riders could match Tobi's scoring power around Foxhall.

Away from Foxhall -> Yes because I think Woryna is more likely to pull up some tree's in Heats 13 & 15 than Musielak.

My ideal No.5 is Max Fricke but I fully expect him to head back to Leicester.

However kemp would! And I did hear that on the last meeting but wasnt sure if it was a rumour or what someone wanted!

5.00 Newcomer like Kowolik or Siatek would fit, Howarth, Kemp and Rushen also fit.

I'm not against running with Kemp @ No.2 just as long as the No.6 is Cairns because some Clubs are going to be toothless at reserve to a point where Drew should be able to score well against them considering the experience he'll have over 2027 reserves whether they're young flaky foreign riders or out of depth new rising stars to the league.

Sweden and Denmark are filling up U21 spaces...

And we know the Poles prefer to just "nip over" to Scandinavia rather than fly in an out of GB possibly twice a week..

Therefore, the UK need to get the U21 positions sorted...

Presume some of the lesser ranked Poles will fill some places, with the better ones going to, or staying in, Scandinavia?..

Those teams who end up with two UK U21 riders could struggle getting two of the required level...

A good time financially to be a decent U21 rider though you would think given the demand for your services .

I agree.

I'm pretty sure that Wroclaw will help Ipswich out with a foreign U21 if the Club miss out on Cairns whether it's Kowolik, Mikolajczyk or Siatek.

But yes it's a problem for the Clubs, But it's great for the U21's as Christmas has come early for them ££££.
