Assessed averages often just make a team look competitive on paper..

Everyone knows the reality will be very much different...

100% we’ve seen it so often that their assessed averages go south, very few have maintained it in first season

Good for selling season tickets and to make a team not look like cannon fodder...

Which they then invariably become..

"Look at our league, isn't it competitive?"..:D

Whilst many followers of the sport will already know it clearly isn't, and be proven right, usually around the end of May....

Would anyone be happy with Janowski @ No.5?

I would take a punt tbh, Clearly something happend at Oxford that made riders check out mentally.

I said this here yesterday. I think the Wroclaw link will see at least two riders from their ranks as Witches.

From a mooted top three of Doyle, Woryna and Musielak to Doyle, Janowski and King, oh dear.

I think former Spires riders are cheat codes that every Club should look at signing imo.

Clearly something happend at Oxford that made everyone give up mentally because as soon as riders got out of the Club, They seemed to have very good seasons.

The only disaster scenario for me is Doyle, Nilsson and King because Nilsson would be a terrible signing on a inflated assessed average.

Not GP quality and only qualified due to a silly criteria that can see average riders perform well on the night and find themselves as an out of depth GP rider the following season.

Like King, He'd have a 0% chance of maintaining it so effectively Doyle would be the only real Heat Leader who'd be able to cut the mustard.

Mooted by who? Absolutely no chance of fitting those three in average wise which is why Musielak was told he was surplus to requirements.

I’d be far more concerned about your club if i were you rather than throwing barbs Ipswich’ way. Don’t worry about them they’ll be fine.

I don’t think there’ll be any personally. We’ll see though I maybe wrong.

that exact poster posted those three months ago. not sure why the mention of kings lynn is relevant.

I'm keeping faith in the Woryna deal however I've lost a lot of confidence since he was announced as a Lejonen rider 48 Hours ago. 3 Leagues and GP's maybe too much travelling for Kacper.

I'm 100% set on Doyle, King, Brennan and One of Ellis/Kemp being 4 members of the 1-5 and that won't change for me all winter tbh.

If the Woryna deal is toast then I'm hoping for a No.5 like Janowski who'd be Musielak 2.0 when it comes to making a mockery of a low GSA that was down to a previous employer running into issues imo.

I wouldn’t be unhappy with that.

I find it very hard to believe that Coleman used such strong words as ‘stellar number 1’ in his update, if he was not very confident that he could deliver that.

In the UK, Doyle fits that description and I would really like to see Woryna at 5 just for the entertainment value alone.

Total respect for Richard , but to me a stellar number 1 is a top 5 world rated rider or Emil coming back.

JD has been a brilliant servant to UK speedway and although knocking on a bit he will still be a major force in the UK in his sleep, I just think Richard boxed himself into a corner with that statement as if a rabbit isn't pulled out of the hat there will be some disapointed punters.

lets say Ipswich get the team they want, how is that going to improve the drab 6 team premiership we had last year..

Because this year was a 4 team league with 2 late fillers which lacked fairness and integrity. But you already knew that didn’t you?

Perhaps we all have differing opinions on what a “Stellar number 1” is.

For me Jason Doyle is a stellar number 1 all day long.

It depends on how fans interpret Richard's words.

Stellar No.1 could be looked at in different ways whether it's an Entertainment factor or a Points factor.

Just my personal opinion, The only Heat Leader in the World I'd sign over Jason is Sayfutdinov because my logic is to sign HL's who are the best fit for your Home track rather than signing someone who's more entertaining but isn't going to be as effective when it comes to points.

I'm a big Dan Bewley fan and he's far more entertaining than Doyle but I wouldn't sign Dan over Jason because the latter guarantee's me more points at Home and he's also someone who you can have more confidence in when it comes Heats 13 & 15 around Foxhall.

Realisticlaly we've got 5 stellar riders on these shores who compete every year and any Club who signs at least 1 of them has done well.

Fair enough you may get another top name that might pop up once in a few years but on average it's Kurtz, Bewley, Doyle, Fricke and J. Holder.

With Belle Vue signing 2 it means that a minimum of 2 Clubs will go without every year unless someone can pull off a mega deal which rarely happens.

Hence why riders like Musielak keep finding themselves at No.1 every couple of years.
