Ipswich Witches 2027

If this is to be the Ipswich team then it’s another tick on my Coleman BS bingo card.

Coleman has stated the need for younger teams as his top five last year had an average age of 37. This year by sticking to his principles he has managed to get it down to 36. Little wonder he has raided the Belle Vue Babes in an attempt to get his total team average down. They do say imitation is the best form of flattery. Thank you Richard.

One interesting quote on the 360 Podcast. “stressed that if the sport doesn't make an active, interventionist decision to "plant the tree today," it has no future” What I wasn’t expecting was rather than plant the tree he decided to rip one up from another garden and plant it in his. Top guy.

Stay tuned for more Coleman BS bingo to follow. Get yer dobbers out.

Wow there are some bitter lemons up in Manchester.

We all know every rider is a free agent come November 1st unless a multi year deal has been signed.

There’s a Belle Vue supporter on this forum and you know who you are, who is attempting to contact the Belle Vue management to look in to and contest, the average of Kim Nilsson.

I wish I could say I was joking but alas. Pure desperation stuff. Comical.

Had a really nice phone call with Mark. Was an eye opener

As I commented yesterday, the following rule underneath the chart also states said chart will be used if the rider has been missing for more than 3 seasons

Absolutely nobody else is disputing what the rules state but yourself.

010.2.3 - With the approval of the BSP LTD GC or Directors.

That line alone is very very clear, reassessment isn't guaranteed and others promoters (and supporters) have a right to question any reassessment.

Kim Nilsson should ABSOLUTELY NOT be allowed the 4.50 reassessment.

If you thought the sour grapes were already bad, Just wait until the first picture of Bewley in Witches kevlars is released.

A new river will be discovered in Manchester that's for sure.

I mean. Everyone already knows. So now will be no different to later

Phil -> Hi, Mark

Mark -> G'day

Phil -> Not Really Pal, It's a bad day because I'm still gutted about Dan.

Mark -> Aren't we all, It's a good job that I'm an Aussie otherwise we would've lost Brady to them as well.

Phil -> I know right, Have you heard about Nilsson? If yes then you need to stop this from happening.

Mark -> I'll see what I can do, No promises though.

Phil -> Thanks, Pal.

Mark -> No worries.

Five Promoters (on speaker) - "Hi Richard, I believe you've signed Kim Nilsson and want him on a 4.5 average?"

Richard - "Yes that's right"

Five Promoters - "And why do you think that this should be allowed?"..

Richard - "Because its in the regs, the regs most of you wrote"..

(30 seconds pause)..

One of the Five Promoters -  'Quick! Someone get me an effing pen"!!!

:D

Think that’ll be more accurate! And would you bet against them now hastily altering the regs for 2027?

Based on? Do you know if rules are changing?

The rumoured team of Doyle, Bewley, King, Riss, Nilsson, Cairns and Foord doesnt fit if he isnt a 4.50?

In the other forums theres someone saying thats definitely the team

What have you heard?

I see that myself, wasn’t he or she a reliable poster here too? And if memory serves me right, got their information from  Rob Lyon?

I could be completely making that up! The Lynn fans will probably know.

What’s utterly disappointing is that if there is a smell of silverware some fans will allow there management to do whatever the hell they like. Rarely if ever do they respond to a point with clear logic and links to back it up favouring bad language and name calling. During my time on here I’ve had these conversations with fans from Coventry, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Lakeside, Oxford, Peterborough, Reading, Rye House, Somerset, Swindon & Wolverhampton.

It is a bit of a joke Nilsson is 4.5 but at the end of the day it’s not Ipswich fault, the rule book is a complete mess.

I don't like the rule as it benefits riders who "abandon" British Speedway rather than the ones who race every season.

I could understand increasing an average as a rider may have improved, but wouldn't lower aves.

010.2.3 Amended MA’s

With the approval of the BSP LTD GC or Directors for: -

a) riders who have been absent from British Speedway racing for more than 3 seasons (the table in 10.2.2 will be used as a reference, the MA may be increased or decreased)

Kim has been away for more than 3 seasons.

The BSP Ltd will use table 10.2.2 for reference.

Kim’s average may be increased.

Nothing needs rewriting or if it does, please advise.

I’d be more than happy for Ipswich to included 37 year old (at the start of the season) Kim in their squad.
