Workington 2027

Recommended Posts

Believe the payment issues for riders last year is causing Workington issues when it comes to team building this season,  riders talk and they know which teams pay on time or owe riders a number of meetings and obviously riders will try stay clear of those clubs where constantly chasing their money and owed thousands of £.

Know Workington aren’t the only promotion who have been behind in paying riders but they are already in uphill battle with their race day not suiting all who race (speedway or grass track) on the continent during the weekend.

I also believe you are spouting the forbidden gravy.

Plymouth and Berwick also ride on Saturdays.

I also know Workington have had riders offer their services to them. Workington are tackling team building this year completely different to previous years. They will have a lot of different riders and that takes time.

The teams who have announced riders so far are mainly announcing riders they had from the previous season

Workington will have trouble retaining riders from last season due to the reasons stated elsewhere, that's is why they're tackling team building differently.

Simon Lambert looking for a team place 😜 Redcar have told him they don't want him  Unfortunately with the rumours on here I fear this is the type of rider the Comets may sign, hope not, just have to wait and see, but would like to see batch back, maybe Jake Allen as well go for a solid side. After all the past season the team scored 40 points in all bar 2 away meetings, and several last year deciders, which is a good effort IMO

Cluff a strong possibility for the comets imo.

Agree although during his guest appearances for us he wasn’t fully dialled into the track he did make some big improvements this season and I feel he has a lot to offer for 2027
