Well done to Scunny they held their nerve and they all had a part to play when it mattered when the going got tough. some Tigers are too inconsistent on their home track IMO.

Gutted, but what a great night of speedway racing.

Massive congratulations to Scunthorpe. Written off by many - myself included - before a wheel had been turned, yet they find themselves the play-off final. An incredible achievement and an outstanding performance across the two legs. Well done David How and co.

51-39 flattered us. They downed tools after progress was secured in heat 12.

Bitterly disappointing from our perspective. Flint conceding a 5-1 in heat 1 set the tone. Heats 6, 7 and 8 were disasters. First, Harris losing to Palm Toft in heat 7, then the disaster of heat 8 before KJP’s shambolic contribution to heat 9.

Hodder far exceeded his expected contribution, but if we’re bluntly honest, nobody else stood up to be counted when we needed them most. 

Heats 13, 14 and 15 - when the tie had been decided - were exhibition races for the Scorpions.

Failure to qualify for the final is squarely on the shoulders of Harris and Flint. Their performance in the first leg was shocking.

Agreed.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there was something deflating about this years’ semi-final at Ashfield in comparison to last season’s against Edinburgh. We were only two points worse off from the first leg this season.

I imagine, as you said, it’s Harris and Flint’s performances in the first leg. Those are your top two who you look to for inspiration, but what we got was a disgrace.

Add to that, we go into last night knowing we’re getting little from Hausl and Hagon when it matters. I also don’t think KJP is someone reliable when push comes to shove.

I feel like Hodder is the only rider who can hold his head high at the end of this season.

Major disappointment. We didn’t even put a dent in our aspirations.

Wanted to add, Pickering is an absolute class act.

That was one of the best individual performances I’ve ever saw at Ashfield.

Harris defied physics to go from third to first in heat 11; he had all the momentum, but Pickering still pulled it back.

Didn’t try a leg in heats 13 or 15, but I almost feel like that added insult to injury for us. Doing wheelies in last place while we stretch a meaningless lead. It oozed “I know how good I am”.

Last night was a great advert for the sport and for BSN who broadcast it but for Glasgow to lose to Scunthorpe over two legs was shockingly bad. Scunny only had one out-and-out heat leader and were a team with Nathan Ablitt riding at 3, Hook riding at 5 and they had a 16 year old reserve who never scored a point yet the Tigers STILL couldn't overcome them. David Howe overshadowed Cami Btown with his tactical ingenuity and the Scorpions were never really pushed. The best heat of the night was heat 11 with Pickering going toe-to-toe with Harris but the best thing about that heat for me is that it was hopefully Mario Hausl's last ever appearance in a Tigers' race jacket. He is undoubtedly the worst Tigers signing in the past ten years.

I also predict Anders Rowe will be approached over the winter to sign for the Tigers '27 team.

Really surprised at the anti Hausl nonsense on here. Kid has been absolutely battered in several opening heats, which does zero for confidence etc. I'd fully expect him back along with KJP next season. We have to stop binning riders every season and build a solid team.

I'd hazard a guess at Bomber, Mario, Anders Rowe, KJP, Dan T, Grmek and Hodder as our team in 27. Just under 38 with Brit reduction. Likely KJP and Mario will benefit the side having another season. KJP looks like he could push on, IMHO. Scunny away did the tie in, we looked hopeless in the latter stages of that as the home side ran amok.
