Sam’s average went back above Kyle + uplift on 1st August Yeah wasn't thinking of the extra 5%. Not a fan of a rule that helps teams be stronger when missing riders. So if the limit stays at 41 then probably looking at the likes of Hodder, Perry, Foord, or Jack Smith for the reserves (I would be surprised if Hagon was re-signed, even though he can be really fast round Ashfield when he gates. Tailed off too many times recently). I think this will be a big problem for several sides next season. The NDL just isn't a conveyor belt anymore and the few 2.00 riders that are close to stepping up are still probably a season away. Doesn't mean i don't expect to see Binns, Norman, Fletcher or Southwick thrown in somewhere but it will remain to be seen if the go the Ingram or Etherington route....

Article infers that we are doing it to strengthen up. Hausl's Facebook post yesterday makes reference to seeing the German team manager on Saturday and Sunday, so maybe riding for Germany in something? Given that management want us to go and support the team, you'd think that they would do us the courtesy of telling us. In the absence of being told an actual explanation I'm just going to assume that we've told him not to bother coming over for it I wouldn’t be surprised. There’s been several occasions, Friday night included, where he’s looked like it’s his first time on a speedway bike. Disappointing, regardless. The paying fans deserve an answer. 1

It would fit for 38, but you could probably include Flint for Rowe or Zischke if it's 40 (I haven't actually worked out any 2027 averages, but his final average is almost exactly 2 higher than Zischke & Rowe). Either way, I think we should bring back the 4 team tournament! Would look something like this, depending on pts limit... 1 Harris 7.93 2 Albitt 4.85 3 Zischke 6.56 4 Cairns 6.44 5 D Thompson 7.55 6 Foord 3.3 7 Hodder 3.31 39.

Colsimmo58
TIGERS 2027 1 HARRIS 7.92 / FLINT 8.24 2 FOREIGNER 5.00 3 DAN THOMPSON 7.54 4 ZISCHKE 6.52 5 ROWE 6.38 6 FOORD 3.23 7 JACK SMITH 3.04 TOTAL = 39.63 / 39.95 Am sure I heard Harris state that if the Championship remains 1 home/1 away ,he wouldn't ride in it. I know Smith has never got out the Reserve berth ,but on his day he is good at Ashfield (sometimes)

Where is he going then? Ashfield is his favourite track in the league, and the promotion seem to want him back
Pinny
Dan Thompson and Flint as top two. Throw in Tate Z and a strong reserve and build around that. Pedersen will probably feature on his average. As i said earlier in season, Harris has dropped off a fair bit this year (despite Berwicks resident Dick telling me other wise) and theres not much value in him. Hes getting on in age now as well. Think Harris will only go if he wants to. The owners go on about wanting to keep providing the best, most exciting, racing and when Harris is on it you get that better than most riders. He has been quite inconsistent this year but that's made his average lower which helps for team building.
TheWellBehavedWorrall
Wouldn’t mind a top two of Flint and Thompson. I don’t think Flint’s ready to be a number one, but Thompson might be. Add Zischke and Hooder, that’s a promising first four. I do like the idea of Vinnie Foord joining Hodder at reserve. Gutted Berwick have retained Morris and Battye. Think they’d have been huge additions with every possibility of adding to their average. Wouldn’t be surprised to see KJP back, but hope it doesn’t happen. Doubt Harris will be back. Sad, but this has been a poor season by his usual standards. He didn’t say as much, but his post-meeting interview against Scunthorpe last week had tones of a leaving speech. He's still got an average over 8. And he's pure box office. He might not win as many races as in previous years but when he does the crowd go home talking about it. Any rider who brings fans through the turnstiles is worth considering, surely. Edited 3 hours ago by False dawn

Agreed, but I don’t want him gone; I just get the impression he will be. If he was announced for 2027, I would not be disappointed.
