From the Ekstraliga site . Great Britain – dates of league matches on Mondays and Thursdays, Sweden – on Tuesdays, Denmark – on Wednesdays, and Poland (PGEE / M2E) – on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Speedway attendances always strugged at Arlington when not on a Sat evening. From the Ekstraliga website it statea GB dates Mon + Thurs. Not sure that would guarantee the best of attendances at Eastbourne. The crowd generally was not a local one, many travelled a fair distance.

Speedway racing games I remember travelling on a Sunday for Eagles v Pirates fixtures. Lunch in one of the local pubs, then a 3pm start (I think). Back home by mid-evening. Great days and good crowds I recall - or was that only because it was a local derby??

I could be wrong, but I believe, per the paragraphs below, that premiership teams need to have 2 x u21s at reserve next year. 1 must be British, the other can be foreign or British. (I've not seen an official BSPL announcement which will confirm either way, the quotes below are from a Polish announcement translated to English). Given the lack of foreign u21s riding in the UK in recent seasons, I am not convinced that there will be a queue, so I expect some teams may end up with 2 Brit u21s. If my understanding of the proposed new rules is correct then the teams need the u21 foreigners more than those riders need the UK teams, and a top Polish u21 rider is generally much further ahead in their development than the Brits are. If I was a top u21 rider, say 2026 u19 World Champ Kevin Małkiewicz, I'd be asking for heat leader money from UK teams. "From 2027, the rules for youth players in the top leagues in Sweden, Denmark, and the UK will also change. A team must include at least one domestic U21 player , while the other can be either domestic or international." "The changes to Under-21 rider regulations could also have an impact on team building, with clubs required to include at least one domestic U21 rider while having greater flexibility over the nationality of a second youth rider." There aren’t enough good riders of that standard to go around, will be relying on some new foreigners to the leagues. Is the championship exempt from these rules again? That’s where these rules would make more sense, should be brits at reserve only if you ask me

I don't believe both u.21s have to be at reserve. Just one!
Triple.H.
Maybe the U21 foreign rider is down to the Poles, the U24 league costs a lot and they may consider subsidising younger riders in their setup to race in a different league, environment with the track variations to be better VFM in the longer term. Also most of the Danish U21 riders like Mikkel Andersen, Baatian Pedersen and Vilads Nagel doing Poland, Denmark and Sweden as the third choice purely easier for logistics. A couple of the young Poles that I know talks have been held with by one UK club asking for quite a chunk of cash as not just points money but also then need mechanic, van, workshop, hotel and flights so in some instances equates to more than likes of Kurtz, Fricke and Holder getting as number 1’s. The continental U21’s know UK needs them more than they need UK so will be some pants being pulled down when it comes to negotiations Edited 5 hours ago by InTheDeepStuff
