Only problem is plastic or whatever it's made of, goes off over time, and with most air fences out in the open air and sunshine, a best before time is established so it will be safe upto this time

Agree that fences will degrade over time but different locations and storage facilities surely mean at different rates. Some measure of plastic rigidity or similar reading can surely be used to determine when a fence needs replacing rather than a blanket ten years

What you say makes very reasonable sense and is practical and logical. Therefore by definition an insurance company lawyer would go no where near that. They just want a certified date to cover their backsides so if there's a failure it's not their fault.

I believe they are well over half way and they've been advised to apply to Plymouth Council for 'match funding'. If successful I wonder what they will do with any surplus?

Book Local Tours

Only problem UK councils are strapped for cash and unlike in Poland the UK councils don't seem to like speedway

Over 30k I think

You think wrong.  Rather than needing over £30k, currently fund is short only £18.5k, but paused to allow switchover to a crowdfunding stream, which will allow the application for assistance.

According to Speedway Star, Garry May is continuing with his planned 1-7.

All well and good but riders won't wait for Plymouth with the current uncertainty and then if we put out a substandard 1-7 the excuses will come.

Hopefully the air fence can be secured quickly to allow us to start signing riders.

Looking at averages assuming we are back at the tapes I'd hope we could get Thompson back, I think he'd be 5.92 after reduction. Could we tempt Dan back to Plymouth (7.55)...? I'd love to see Jason Edwards at Plymouth, with reduction I believe 6.28 would be a value average (dare say he's bound for elsewhere but would love to see it).

I'd go nowhere near Barker on that average, he's never getting close to that next year. Tobias Thomsen was supposedly guaranteed a spot after his horrible injury, would he get a reduction at all for missing the season?

If we've learnt anything from last season we need strength at reserve. Grmek back maybe? I think Klima could also improve but then there's the cost of airfares etc.

Will be interesting to see where we go.

Thomson won’t be eligible for the reduction for missing a season as he’s not British

Everyone who lands in Britain these days is 'British'. He should claim asylum from the horrors of war-torn Denmark
