But switched to a British licence as the German Federation wouldn't nominate him in the GP qualifiers when he needed it Have cake and eat it comes to mind....
PersonalResponsibility Posted yesterday at 08:49 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:49 AM Lambert wouldn't get nominated for qualifiers, etc. if he took a German or Polish licence - but would he actually need it? He'll likely be top 7 for the foreseeable and if he isn't (i.e., injury), he'd probably get a wildcard anyway. It'll be a while before Lambert needs to go through GP qualifiers surely?

Explore History It's not that he won't be bothered, he and his team are so well organised that everything for the following season is in place before the end of the current season. He is always prepared to race here but British Speedway is too late which is the real reason why he has joined British clubs after his overseas commitments have finished. He may make it happen as World Champion but it's going to need everything laid on and some flexibility on clashes.

This year Bewley needed a wildcard, so anything can happen. Would the organisers need permission from a riders federation to offer them a wildcard? If not they could just put Emil & Artem in? If they do, Lambert getting a wild card for Germany. Wouldn't hinder any of their riders, as they wouldn't be in line for a wild card? The FIM reaffirmed and extended the ban during its Board of Directors meeting in February 2026, keeping it in place across all FIM World Championships with no end date set
