Belle Vue 2027

Tom is happy at Ipswich and the club stood by him

Unlike Belle Vue who decided to keep Blodorn and Lidsey rather than a young English rider

Not saying that was the wrong choice at all but I’m sure Tom would rather be at a club that will support his career rather than move him on quickly

Agree.

Didn't they bin him off as soon as he wasn't eligible for the Rising Star scheme? Can't imagine Tom going back after that.

Not factual correct.

Talk about adding insult to injury.
Rules say we need to lose riders then the forum not rights have a go at us for losing riders. Only in speedway.

Wasn't there some "issues" that season, (one with Charles Wright springs to mind), that may have helped influence the decision...

PTA will have more recollection than me I am sure..

FWIW I have always thought of Tom as a Steve Worrall level rider, ie capable of beating the very best, but not consistently enough to reach the worlds top 30 or so...

Someone who will be a solid scorer in both UK leagues, but not an out and out top two HL in the top league..

He does look to be on a bargain average next season for any team who have a genuine top level top two, and can fit him in at No 3 or as a Second String..

You would have to think Ipswich wouldn't miss out on such a potential "cheat code" if they can use him as a second string in particular..

King has already signed so that “cheat code” for Brennan just levels that out IF he re-signs for Ipswich which I hope he does.

Kurtz

Klindt

B. Cook

Tungate

Bewley

Cairns

U21

Janowski also available on a 6.06 if he'd come back to the UK. Would be good at home at least.

Personally I can't see us dropping both of Blodorn and Zischke anyway. I think we will hold on to at least one of them.

I think the Klindt thing is a knee jerk reaction to his play off showing. I don’t see us replacing a young improving German with a near 40 year old Dane. If anything I think out of our two guests in the final, it would be Mitch that joins us despite his zero score at Sheffield. I think we will have a Cook, especially as it’s best to leave Jaimon at Northampton as they continue to establish themselves. It’ll be his first season in a team not put together by Mark. The top two will join forces for a seventh season (less one for Dan when Godfrey famously blocked him following Dans announcement on twitter about his return in ‘22)

The last spot in the top five is the perennial mystery as we always have to make a change due to the points limit unfortunately.

It would be great to keep continuity at reserve but that would take some leeway from the powers that be (riders have ridden in a U21 position whilst being 21) and a firm rejection to the cheque book clubs circling once again.

Well I've heard that BV are offering silly money to Coops. Who knows. Could be rubbish but holds about as much water as anything else written on here I guess.

They're also close to matching other clubs with an “eye watering” offer for Cairns. Don’t fall for the “we run on a tight budget” bollocks. They just love to paint themselves as the victorious underdog but they're anything but.

I’ve heard Northampton are offering 1 million pounds for their number one - per meeting! Could be rubbish but holds about as much water as anything else written on here I guess.🤣

It’s been mentioned on here that Cooper should move to Belle Vue to further his career but if he wants to come it’s for Belle Vue money, the level of which he is use to being at Lynn.

im guessing that how we will look

Leaves 8.98 for 2 places

Will be a challenge with three riders moving up a position in the team higher than the positions their averages were gained at..

Blodorn and Cook to HL's and Tate to Second String...

And the RS? Won't be as good as Cairns you would have to think..

Klindt at four?..

And ???? at six, probably needs to be a very decent level U21...

After a couple of big exits, It makes it even more baffling as to why Lidsey isn't in the 1-7.

As soon as the Wroclaw agreement hit Belle Vue the pivot should've been Kurtz, B. Cook and Lidsey as a Top 3.

I dont expect Bewley to race over here. Even with the rumours.

Dans reaction to the new ruling regarding riding in your home league to gain starting permission to ride abroad points to him giving the uk a miss for 27. But I imagine things have changed.

In the Speedway Star, Mark Lemon mentioned how he likes to keep as many riders as he can, which does make sense if they have improvement in them (like last season), as you have invested time in them and had to take the "not too good days"...

It is much more of a gamble when coming off a season of good increases in averages, and for riders to move up a position in a team and even just keep the same average will be a challenge..

The joys of being successful in Speedway!!😁

The opportunity being of course, that a poor season from "the engine room" could see them having great averages for the 2028 team!!😁

Only in Speedway...

Much like Stewart Dickson then when it comes to Leicester.

Will stick with as many riders as possible and help them progress as much as they can.
