No - Poole riders were just crap out of the gate. Were crap round the first bend, then the second, third and fourth for four laps. Just because opposition was dire doesn’t make the track a gate and go track. You could see it in their faces as they came off from track walk. “This track has got shale on it, not used to that, there are no holes in track, the starts are deep and we are f...k’d “ and yes they were so right.6 points

Well if they didn't try as you keep referring to,maybe the riders should club together and pay some of the fans that made the long journey a bit of compensation for their wasted journey.6 points

Lakeside are listed as away to Edinburgh on Friday 7th Sept then then at home to Glasgow on Friday 14th Sept. My understanding is they wanted to race Peterborough in the League tomorrow but Peterborough can’t put a full team out. The outstanding meetings in the League, K.O. Cup and Shield are against Peterborough, Peterborough, and ...er... Peterborough. What a mess. Well done Rob Godfrey, on behalf of the the BSPA , you have collected the £50,000 bond from Rye House for pulling out (being forced out) of the PL , now stand to collect a fine from Lakeside, and possibly Workington, for not completing their fixtures, alienated even more fans, in a sport that can’t afford to lose a single one, and helped with the plan to reduce the number of tracks in 2018, so there can be one big league.5 points

I don't understand why people don't let the Chris Holder issue drop after all this time. None of us really know what happened that night, we can all assume, but we don't know, as there's usually two sides to every argument. What's done is done and can't be changed. As a person, Mr Holder would seem to be a man with a kind heart, when you think back on how he put his life on hold at the time of the tragic Darcy Ward accident, and he doesn't deserve this continuing criticism in my opinion, irrespective of whether he was the instigator of the troubles last year or not. There are so many nasty and evil things going on in this world to worry about. without something as petty as this continuing grudge, life is to short. I'll probably get a lot of negative comments thrown back at me now, but I shan't respond. I'm entitled to my opinion as we all are, but once stated, it's over and done with.5 points

I was there last time when we took the win over Edinburgh but tomorrow is a total different ball game. Edinburgh have strengthened since then and are nigh on unbeatable at the one of the most home advantage tracks in the league. Would be a dream to take a point but a tough place to go ..Dig deep boys, stay safe and the very best of luck we carry on fighting for a play-off place3 points

The only thing that mattered last night was that the Stars won. The grippy track was prepared as expected. I have no doubts the Pirates came with all good intentions, but when they found themselves trailing early on, their enthusiasm soon disappeared. I enjoyed the experience, if only from the point that it will shut those loud mouth fans up, that we are forever hearing. We except sometimes these scores happen and they are not a true reflection of the teams strength, but all we have heard form certain Poole supporters is about the how much better they are because they thrashed us early on. Last night really levelled up them arguments.,, But saying that , the Stars really did ride will. Onwards and upwards we continue...………..3 points

Let us be a realist here. Whoever tops the group will pick Belle Vue who have sadly been weakened with Dan Bewley out.3 points

You seem to spend a lot of time on here about this meeting considering you think it was a nothing meeting. This result has obviously hurt a bit. That's what's wrong with the sport.League winners deserve some kind of recognition for finishing top imo.Try explaining to someone who don't go to speedway you race a whole league campaign and if you finish top you don't automatically win the league. Some would think it's crazy.3 points

A couple of weeks ago, all we got from Poole fans was " We're top of the League", now all of a sudden after a complete thrashing they never wanted to win the league anyway!!!3 points

Disgraceful move from Garrity on kemp - so unnecessary to squeeze him the point of riding into him on the back straight - to be honest he was an idiot all night, I’d imagine Mason Campton will be saying to Scunthorpe I ain’t guesting for you again if I’m paired with him! Supposed to be teammates on the night and Garrity trying to knock him off every race!! i think Gino has ensured tonight he won’t be seen in a witches race suit again anytime soon! fairplay to Garcia rode superbly, and well done to drew looked good all night great move in ht2 and was in the mix in his last one before Garrity rode into him.2 points

It isn't anything to' believe'. It's simply a fact. Even Starman can't stoop to these levels.2 points

If by that you mean one combined league all I can add is 'Hallelujah' !2 points

Don't think the riding order would make much difference to Berwick at Armadale,NJB was poor there in the cup match.Would not be expecting anything from this match2 points

Brady keeps making excuses for his poor performances, in the paper he said he had only had one poor week! We should all get off his back and he is only 21. How old is Robert Lambert? Has Robert Lambert's form dipped? Too much racing and too much travelling are poor excuses, Kurtz will never make a gp rider because he is too inconsistent.2 points

Yes but taking last night as the 'return' fixture that would give Poole the edge on aggregate.2 points
-
No. It won’t. It will be less than recent weeks due to the holidays being over but far from the smallest attendance. Why on earth are you so negative all the time? Very strange.2 points

A very good crowd saw a mediocre meeting due to Poole being so poor. KL will top the league and pick Belle Vue. Kings Lynn look solid throughout and a special mention to Simon Lambert tonight who has taken some criticism in the past. Do not believe we saw the real Poole tonight but Brady is not a big scoring number 1. Well done Stars.2 points

Shovlar is not good for Poole or there fans comes across as believing he is there spokesman which does the club no favours.A great win by Lynn last night and i was thinking how many of the modern day riders of today would of struggled with wet deep grippy tracks in yesteryear.?2 points

Despite the scoreline this was a pretty decent meeting with plenty of passing, no re-runs and no fallers! JD and Jack may have maxed out but it wasn't easy as Doyley came from the back at least twice and i reckon you will see Jack's stunning chase and pass on Kyle in heat 13 on Speedway GB website very soon! Both Rebels had so much speed to pass as they wanted/needed, inside or outside. All the Rebels were solid with the three guests putting in a good shift. NBJ sussed the track quickly on what is possibly his first visit there and Todd was very good all night. Adam started well but think had a bike issue in heat 14. Nico and Aaron had solid if not spectacular nights and were both well on the pace. For Wolves Thorsell was awful for first two races but got better and had some good tussles with Doyley. Howarth tried his heart out for not much reward, Andersen was poor but might have had bike problems too. Masters for a former Somerset rider wasn't as good as i had expected him to be. Morris looked good when he gated and Sarjeant had a good ride as well. Only 3 points coming from Rory's R/R was the downfall.2 points

The updated rolling GSA's show Bomber 0.10 above Brady so subject to the final qualifying meeting v Wolves on Wednesday, Bomber could be at 1 for the 2nd leg of the semi-final on 1st October as well as for the final if we get there. Relieving Brady of the Number 1 position will do wonders for his 'its all in his head' issues and will undoubtedly work to Poole's advantage, notwithstanding the reserves staying as per the September GSAs. Just my opinion1 point

Exactly what I said to a Poole fan on twitter last night, but then I got called a 'Brady basher' and 'not a proper Poole fan', actually she got a bit crazy aggressive and had to get blocked! But apparently no one else thinks the way I do about BK. Also the Piratecast boys think Brady is a proper no1 cos he is riding at no1!1 point

From what I've seen of Brady he has the riding ability to be good and riders at his stage of development often have a standstill or going backwards season, so I wouldn't judge him too soon. To me the question marks are more about his professionalism and dedication and I have no idea how he applies himself in those regards and whether he has the right mental approach. I think there are a few question marks on that last aspect but give the lad a chance. He's young, next year or the year after might be the time to make a judgement but not yet.1 point

I think Brady has struggled with doing the 3 Leagues POL EXL/Swe Elite and Prem for the first time. Not all immediately embrace chasing around all over Europe plus individual qualifiers and international meetings in their first season of doing it. Last season he did a few POl & Swe meetings but nothing compared to a full program. We have to remember he is still 21 and this was his first real breakout season all around Europe. Anderson has done 3/4 leagues for years but even he has had plenty of up and down meetings in POL/SWE. Easy to forget he rode 2 meetings Monday - rushed off the Swe for Elite meeting Tue and then flew back Wed to ride at KL. Yes they are professional riders but getting too and from airports with long drives either end and that's without the flying itself must take its affect when its your first real season of doing all 3 FULL TIME. Similar with Woryna and the recently arrived Jakobsen. That's why I feel whatever the outcome is of this season, getting lower av for next season is a bonus in Matt Ford's team building for 2018 with all 3 well under the 8 point heat leader limit (if it stays that is). Surely all 3 have decent futures even with British tracks being a great leveler.1 point

Ben isn't guesting when he visits with Redcar. The rule only applies to two guest appearances at the same track.1 point

We can allow Poole to take the credit as they are the masters of losing deliberately and we have only copied them!1 point

"Why on earth are you so negative all the time? "Steve I can't believe you said that!!!!1 point

When it suits him to. He would not have liked last nights track and would likely have thrown his dummy out of the pram, again. We know where he is going now and it's not upwards.1 point
-
No because 1) He didnt ride anyway 2) The 8 day rule only applies to guest appearances. As he wouldve been representing his own club last Sunday even had the meeting gone ahead I belueve he would still be elligible!1 point

If Poole had thrown in the towel why wasn't the non Scoring reserve ( Jakobson) thrown in to do a couple of Klint's rides ? Would have given him a bit more experience riding Saddlebow. Might have been useful for when Poole beat Somerset and IF Lynn could overcome Belle Vue If Lynn cant win the whole thing I would be quite happy to see Belle Vue take the title. After all they will always be the No 1 British Speedway name.1 point

You left the stand before Ty came. He spent of lot of time having selfies taken and collected a lot of money.1 point

Kurtz must have not been trying all season then because last night's score was pretty common for him this season!1 point

I am fully aware that he said it on TV but it was tongue in cheek and Poole bit hook line and sinker !!! As far as TV entertainment value goes we thought it was a great meeting and so did they. By the way, how did your lot get on tonight !!!1 point

Was fairly confident we could get close but was not convinced we could actually win it. Walker injury was obviously key. Just hope we can get our fixtures in because we have a chance of making those play offs.1 point

So yet another injury, just when will it end. Get well soon Callum, they said hes got fractures in both hands and a foot injury. We were always up against it without Danyon but to lose Callum in the first lap of the first race was a disaster. Still the boys fought hard against a better side with crucially better reserves. We need results on the road now! Well done Coventry1 point

Maybe when riders sign a contract to ride for a club it should stipulate what dates they must be available to ride. Say for instance it's one big league next year and it has 16 teams. BSPA decide now that the final will be held at Buxton on September 8th 2019. If you cannot be available on that date then you don't get a licence if you're a rider who needs a visa you don't get a visa.1 point

Is that they are showing the match on twitter ? or they have announced on twitter that they are showing the match.1 point

I think you will find that most of the negativity about the Kings Lynn team came from fans of other clubs........Well done Stars, shut a few haters up....Looks like a play off place at least. Anything more will be a bonus....1 point
