You should read her reply to being asked about in today’s star, she waffles on about it but in no way explains why she excluded Thomsen, just that’s it’s all about opinions and not everyone is going to agree. Bloody right they aren’t that decision alone should ensure she doesn’t get to referee another one but I would put money on it she does. A truly dreadful decision -
Sheffield v King's Lynn 19/6/25

Your in utter dreamland if you think Buster is going to spend money to try and get Lynn into the play offs. -
I really don’t see any of the championship clubs coming up so it looks at first glance like a top league of 6 teams, whether that’s enough for TNT to keep the TV money in the sport remains to be seen, their surely isn’t enough riders for one big league.

You would have thought so, although the speed that one’s going it might be tomorrow before it’s finished -
To be fair he is probably right, it was ruined by greedy hotels and the price of tickets which went up year on year, the racing has on occasion been very good but mostly just ok. it was the golden goose and some person or persons decided to see just how much they could make year on year without a thought for the supporters, the fact that it wasn’t weather dependent played a big part as well. The fact that half the field shouldn’t be anywhere near the event and the constant tinkering with the points allocation and rules hasn’t helped either. If it Ain’t broke don’t fix it applies methinks.

I think pretty much all the supporters think the same but unfortunately the GP circus charge so much for tracks to put these meetings on with the tracks generally just getting tickets sales and catering etc so most insist on at least one home rider to try and attract home crowds. Quite why we have the joke of our current GP points allocation is even harder to explain, consensus seems to be the GP circus is very close to collapse or major change, cannot imagine why as let’s be fair the racing is absolutely fantastic at every track and all have very even gate stats. 😉

Lynn need proper racing next season, not the gate and go shyte they normally get

I see BSN have Leicester v Kings Lynn scheduled for BSN Thursday, now who on earth did the scheduling for that when Sheffield are hosting Ipswich on the same day. -

It’s not enough water being put on the tracks in the preceding days that’s the real problem but I dare say the ineffective watering during the meeting isn’t helping either. -
Scunthorpe v Workington 9th May
bigcatdiary replied to RS50's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Whether there is more to it or not, your no 1 and captain should never ever put on a display like that. But knowing Batchelor when he rode for us, it only surprises me that teams entertain signing him in the first place. -
It was the gaps after the crashes where the track was lost, it dried it our very quickly but the root cause was not enough water was put into the track in the previous 24 hours, basically it wasn’t prepared properly and the mini crop sprayer Ipswich use between heats just kept the dust down for the first heat after it was done after that it was dust dust and more dust, I appreciate you couldn’t water the super slick inside but it was very noticeable that Doyle and Sayfutdinov were using the outside lines from heat 8 onwards and looked untouchable. The problem is most tracks subscribe to this standard of track prep and in really hot weather (especially midday and afternoon meetings) you get really caught out if you haven’t watered it enough prior to the day of the meeting.
