Not really a surprise, made a massive loss. However he should be thanked for stepping in and saving the Tigers when it appeared no one else would and for putting his money in to do that. Same applies to Gordon Pairman for doing it 12 months later and we can enjoy speedway in Glasgow for another season. That's if it ever stops raining!!

Yes definitely thanks are due to Mr Biggart.

Hopefully he's not taken a compromising loss during his period of ownership. Sporting history is littered with humble men made good frittering away their children's inheritance.

The ultimate aim of a supporters trust is appealing as long as wee canny Scots think with our wallets and not our hearts.

Stewart Dixon to do the track now also? Oh dear!

Wasn't it his idea to get home track advantage and change the track which seemed to lower the standard of racing. Just have to look back to 2000 to about 2004 how good the racing was with inside and outside racing lines. After the changes it became really a one line track and pretty much gate and go with the odd pass.

It's refreshing to see yet another positive Glasgow post from yourself Fred . And it's Dickson . And if you read the whole article in the Speedway Star , instead of the selective part to suit your anti-Glasgow agenda , you'd know that the Doc will be on hand from the beginning to advise and assist and given how nice a bloke Alan Bridgett is , he'll help out if and when asked .

Fingers crossed that the track preparation will be of a standard that makes for good racing, because its difficult to overstate just how important that is.

The entrances to the corners at Glasgow are slightly too narrow, but other than that it has an excellent shape with its wide banked bends and medium length straights.

I have often felt that the quality of the preparation has not matched the shape of the track at Ashfield (in that, it is anything but alone) but hopefully this season things will improve.

the entrances are governed by that annoying football park in the middle . I've often wished we would do what Bradford used to do , and have astro turf in the corners which could be lifted for the speedway .
