Wow, some people have money to burn.

Bought two complete bikes from a top Polish rider, engines serviced (full history), £4k.

In two seasons scored 300+ points per season, gross income 48k from points.

Sold bikes after 2 years for £1.5k each.

Engines serviced by BAT, no problems, cost £12 per race.

No fancy pit mats or new Van, just a nice profit.

£80 per point, so on the proposed £60, £50, £40 scale and £12 per race for engines would be viable. If the home promoter has to pay the away teams points also ( 90 in total plus bonus points) then you will need an extra £ 1000 or so.

personally I don't see how you can have fixed figures for points, the logical one's in speedway realise that if a promoter has paid everyone out besides his cut and the riders wages, then that figure can be divided between himself and the riders, the alternative is what we have now, a sport where barring a very select few are making money out of the sport.

The above is harsh but in reality is what is needed in the sport.

Nope, each engine is sold on an individual rider invoice basis.

Same as any other engine supplier

"Rumour" is only an up front payment to assist production costs. IF GTR when bust tomorrow the BSPA have squandered the money for nothing. Not that they have got much out of it anyways.
