They didn't race in Torun this year.... :)

Jarek Hampel a certainty to get one of the 3 wildcards, if he doesn`t fancy trying to qualify ??

G. laguta will likely get one as well.

I wonder if Emil will try to qualify and still do the SEC or if he will concentrate on SGP now.

I am assuming that the rules are still the same and he can't get a wildcard for this as he is in the GP again.

Has said on Twitter he's not gonna take part.

Thanks, I must have missed that tweet.

That must be a bit of a disappointment to OneSport and their ambitions.

Harris seems to be interested in the SEC

Lambert is also mentioned by fans but it seems like there will be fixture clashes

which apparently would prevent him from rriding in the SEC.

The fact is that at this point there are no fixtures to clash in Europe for speedway 2017.

I find it a bit odd that Konikiewicz is in fact asking in twitter for ACU riders for a wildcard, as the deadline for feds was 5 weeks ago.

EDIT: another tweet asking riders to put pressure on ACU. So like said, deadline is long gone...

1. Jan K agrees with this:

"In recent years, we were on the start list of players who compete in the English league and there were no problems to reconcile some competition with one another - notes Konikiewicz"

2. It seems they don't really care though:

"There is a big chance that in the next year's cycle SEC will see players from England. Representatives of One Sport lead on this conversation with the British motorcycle federation"

Think there have been a couple of meetings where the rider in sec has been replaced with a national league rider so not exactly no problems. Having said that can't understand why GB riders have been kept out

Yeah well they should. One Sport is the promoter of SEC, a FIM Europe competition. Now that FIME has sent out application sheets with a date on them, cant see how it's up to OneSport to change that. it's called breaking the rules at a very basic level.

As i said on another thread, the BSPA now have a National Stadium that needs big meetings. In reality there are only very few big meetings and there are a number of tracks after them.It is absolutely necessary now for the BSPA to climb down from their high horse and deal with One Sport so that they can get one of the few big meetings that is reasonably possible to host each year i.e an SEC Final round
