How about a longshot for 2018- the Amsterdam arena https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Arena

I've already suggested a Netherlands GP a few years ago. ;) but hardly anyone thought it was a good idea.

That's rich coming from a Brummie!

Not really...Birmingham's a sh#t hole too ! If the residents were purely just genuine English Brummies itd be a decent place!!!

Noooooooooooooooo. That sucks. I cannot remember a decent World Final or GP there.

Shame to see Horsens go.

1994, the last ever one off World Final at vojens was a cracker

As for Amsterdam, Countries with a proud recent speedway history such as Sweden,, Denmark and Australia are trying and mostly failing to make big stadium events pay. Non speedway countries have no chance without a benefactor as per ( New Zealand )

Lets be honest would you take the risk with your money ?

Polish newspaper Tygodnik Żużlowy write. GP returns to Vojens. There will be no rounds at Daugavpils.

Daugavpils has produced some good racing in the GP's. Be sad to loose it.

Vojens is fine, although a bit of a hike from the station for those of us that use public transport. Horsens was a decent venue, close to the action, but given the choice though I'd prefer a traditional track to a temporary one.

Amsterdam would be preferable to Melbourne in my book, but would for the reasons already stated be a big gamble. I'd go but would 40,000 others? It seems a shame that what is potentially the deciding GP of the series is held where the vast majority that attend some of the European GPs simply can't get to for geographical or financial reasons.

As for the UK, can't think of anywhere better than Cardiff. The London Stadium doesn't have the supporting hospitality, there aren't that many bars in Stratford Westfield, and Wembley presumably wouldn't come cheap. That's before you factor in the weather.

Melbourne is a free ticket back to Australia for our winter for the Monster riders.
