Bagpuss 10,780 Posted April 24, 2018 Nice touch to pay tribute to the four riders who have lost their lives at the track.

But being serious, I had not heard of the meeting and if it is in tribute as Bagpuss has said to four lost riders then it is a nice touch... I don't know is SS was being serious, I suspect he was. The £3 +£5 for the souvenir program, is well cheap.

In a lot of people's opinion one of the best managers in British speedway and would maybe relish the new challenge. Was he not going to be stand in for Middlo the other week, I read somewhere that Matt Ford had asked Dickson to take the team as Middlo was on holiday. Yous could do worse Neil was not on holiday and Neil has not lost his passion for the club.

Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted April 24, 2018 And there are displays /old videos plus many old riders to chat to at the stadium during the afternoon. All free to those that wish to attend. Shame I am going to miss it all. The club giving back to the fans.

People slag Matt off, but he's worked hard to get this up and running. Remember, we had several rain off's including the 70th Aniversary meeting, those alone would have cost him and we hadn't even turned a wheel. Easy life this promoting, eh..
