My son is colour blind. Couldn't tell the difference between the red helmet and the green one.

Does he have the same issue with the Yellow/Black and Black/White TR helmet colour.

Yeah that's just got me thinking...what if the rider in black and white gets excluded..what colour exclusion light comes on??

Is Speedway the most unprofessional sport if you can call it that to exist?

Team speedway isn't really a sport in my eyes with its current rules...and off the top of my head I can't really think of anything else less professional.

Just let it go bust, as it will if it continues to be run in the way it has been for 20 years and then let's enjoy the UK based semi pro racing that will survive in a few places. Maybe, just maybe speedway can then re-build itself in the UK. It can't do that with the current promoters to whom "everything is hunky dory and even better with the cream of riders enticed back". Blind leading the blind.

To be honest the top league must take priority to give the sport any credibility, you would never see the championship in football come out on top Vs the premier league

It's simple that the championship needs to join with the national league either as one league or some form of North/south with team strengths set low to around 32 points

The premiership needs to be set at around 42, would love to see averages rounded up or down to the nearest .5 or .0

But there are probably more important issues to discuss

If you believe Terry Russell in this week's SS, the most important thing to discuss is how to avoid the number of re-starts which delay the prompt running of meetings!!

Fully agree with that, quite a few meetings have been ruined with the number of restarts.

They have never worried about promptly or properly run meetings.

The biggest issue is to cut down or stop the use of guests because riders are away riding in the other league and they have come up with getting all Premiership tracks to ride on a Monday or Thursday and the Championship to ride on any other night which in theory it should work.

The problem they have then is how do they get all the fixtures done in time when you have cut the amount of available dates down by sixty percent. Then you also have the Championship tracks being forced to give up their Thursday night fixtures and find an alternative night after years of running on a Thursday.

Yes delaying starts is something that annoys quite a few, especially Kelvin and something needs to be done about it like laser light tapes or responsive release as used in F1 but that comes at a cost and certainly more than a large number of flights and hotels in Tenerife. However there are many more issues that need addressing. Before that and making more places available for National League riders in the Championship rather than failed foreigners taking up reserve berths.

Making it more affordable to the public is a major issue and while some will say £15-18 isn't bad, it is if it's a product that many don't know about and those that do stopped going years ago when Olsen and Collins were the key riders. There lies the problem too, that while in the past they have claimed to have employed contractor to get the sport more noticed we haven't seen anything that has made people sit up and notice.

The only way Speedway gets into the papers these days or noticed by the GPs is largely down to Tai Woffinden who knows how to get media interest, gain sponsors and bring it into the twenty first century and even now in the close season is helping young riders gain contracts abroad after spending good parts of the season at the GP Academy too.

What good things we have we shut the door on, don't listen or disregard their comments, much can be said of the fans who to many are just keyboard warriors putting the world to right but apparently don't know a thing.

One league was the answer, less big earners but a change of race nights will do the job in hand I'm sure. SIMPLES

Yeah, because thats the biggest issue in the running on a meeting. The 2 minutes it takes to get them back around to the star again. Not the 25 minute interval after 12 heats of a 15 heat meeting?!
