StephenMiller 75 Posted June 2, 2018 The Birmingham injury jinx strikes again.... discolated shoulder for JPB:- Quote Birmingham Edwards Plumbing Brummies Speedway: JPB FITNESS CONCERN BIRMINGHAM are sweating on the fitness of Jack Parkinson-Blackburn ahead of Wednesday’s National League home clash with Eastbourne (7.30).The 17-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder after being caught by former Brummie Ben Barker while guesting for Redcar at Sheffield on Thursday. He faces a race against time to be fit for Wednesday’s highly anticipated fixture against the Eagles and Edwards Plumbing Brummies team boss Laurence Rogers says it will be an agonising wait.“The good news is that x-rays have confirmed there were no breaks anywhere,” Rogers explained.“The bad news is that his shoulder wouldn’t pop back in and was out for about three hours.“He lost a sense of feeling in his hand and fingers and the problem has been made worse by the fact that it’s the same shoulder he dislocated last season.“So it’s not straightforward at all.“He needs to go back to the fracture clinic and they need to assess if he’s sustained any muscle damage.“But he also took a hefty bang to his ankle as well so that’s something else we’re waiting on.“It’s going to be an agonising wait but David (Mason – co-promoter) and I will have to come up with a plan B just in case.”

WalterPlinge 657 Posted June 6, 2018 Birmingham have apparently named James Shanes. However as his CL average for Sheffield is above 4.00 he isn't eligible for NL. So either Birmingham have made a mistake, or the BSPA/SCB aren't applying their own rules properly. #Shambles
uk_martin 1,606 Posted June 6, 2018 The Brummies press release this morning stressed that a new signing is subject to the approval of the BSPA. As it's been announced, one must assume that the BSPA have ruled on what's in the best interests of British Speedway again. Which of course doesn't prevent them from making a U-turn at any moment. WalterPlinge 657 Posted June 6, 2018 How can it be in the best interests of the sport to let the strongest team in the league break the rules to strengthen whilst the likes of Buxton, IOW and Stoke struggle with understrength teams? #Shambles
Argos 262 Posted June 6, 2018 The Initial Team Declaration may include current Championship riders, who are under 25 years-old with a Championship MA of 4.00 or below at the start of the season, riders with a Championship MA of 6.00 or below, provided they are not declared in a Championship 1-7 at the start of the season; and all of whom must hold a full UK Passport and have an ACU Licence. Subject to MC approval. This is the regulation in Question so is he eligible or not !!!!!

In any case, Shanes was replacing another top rider, JPB.
