On paper Newcastle don't look THAT bad, but they have been awful of late & riding far below their ability!

To be fair, Newcastle do have some riders that can go very well round Plymouth, but the home team really should have more than enough to win comfortably at home.

Can't remember the last time I saw a Garry May team complacent.

IIRC Paul Starke, Ashley Morris and James Wright have all ridden for Plymouth in the past

Good to see Paul Starke back in action

Think the Gladiators have booked Bomber for the next 2 home meetings, it’s nice to see English riders getting extra meetings! With the form especially at home of Plymouth this season would be very disappointing if Newcastle get anywhere near but they did get an away losing point last year but then the Diamonds had Ben Barker scoring 18+1!!

Just as well he can't be used in away meetings this month!!! I guess it'll be Howarth or Pickering guesting at Poole the next day?!

Suggests it has come as a shock to Plymouth and BSPL and that Newcastle have made a unilateral choice?

Certainly when Clubs hit problems last year, that Brummies and Newcastle were having weekly meetings with BSPL and were told whether they could ride or not and any interim cancelations / fixture changes (like getting Leicester to PBarr to help Brummies were agreed in advance) and  Eastbourne were told when indicating problems to BSPL 5 days before a meeting that they had to go to Leicester to fulfil an away Fixture and did that Fixture at BSPL insistence.
