  1. On Wednesday the Pirates return to action taking on the Monarchs in the second leg of the Bsn semi-final. The Monarchs have a 2 point lead from the first leg at Armadale. They may have Dan Thompson back from his broken collar bone injury so should be at full strength. There could be some key battles between the heat leaders and Second strings and i expect the Pirates reserves to outscore Mitchell Cluff and Jordy Loftus although Cluff is riding better than earlier in the season. Kye Thomson is on form so could have a good meeting, it will depend on how well Justin Sedgeman and Dan T go on the night. Also how well Jonatan Grahn and Paco Castagna perform. Sticking my neck out, the Pirates to win and progress to the final but the Monarchs are no pushovers. Thoughts?
  2. This coming Wednesday sees the Pirates take on the Tigers for league points. The Pirates will be without the unlucky Fraser Bowes after his nasty spill last week resulting in a punctured lung and rib and back bruising. Hopefully Cooper will be available to boost the reserves Glasgow of course have Chris Bomber Harris in thier ranks, who always rides Wimborne Road well, add on Kyle Howarth and Leon Flint and they have a solid top three. Will be interesting to see how well Kevin Juhl Pedersen and Mario Hausl go on thier first visit. Sam Hagon is up and down with his scoring and not sure if Freddy Hodder is fit. Sticking my neck out, I think the Pirates should win this not sure by how many though. Thoughts?
  3. After an incident packed first leg at Cowley last week, the Pirates host the second leg on Wednesday against the Cheetahs with a 10 point lead. Not sure if Eric Riss is yet fit to return to the Cheetahs side and I believe that Luke Killeen is absent due to concussion. Will the Cheetahs come out all guns blazing or will Poole send them packing. Thoughts.

  5. The Pirates take on the Bears this coming Wednesday in thier opening league fixture after the Bsn series. This will be a good test for the Pirates and in particular with the form of reserve Jody Scott at the moment. I feel that Poole have a stronger top 5 so the reserves will be key. Looking forward to seeing who comes out on top between Cooper,Will ,Scott and Mulford. Thoughts?
  6. The Pirates return to action at home this coming Wednesday to take on the Oxford Cheetahs after a 3 week break from the last home meeting. The Cheetahs ran out winners by 51-39 at home to give them a 12 point advantage with Dayle Wood scoring 10+2 from reserve. The Pirates need to get off to a good start, with the Cheetahs having Sam Mastets and ex Pirate Anders Rowe in opposition it could be a tough night. Thoughts?
  7. Hi mate hope to see you down at Wimborne Road at some point and are you going to Oxford when Poole are riding there?

  8. So what, he's coming back from injury and as far as I'm concerned he will only get better.
  9. Sorry Blobby, but check the updates heat 10 Frazer beat Danny King and gained a 5-1
  10. What is your problem. I guess that you haven't got a team to support anymore so therefore you feel the need to take a swipe at Poole.
  11. Hi Neil. Guess what I won't be cheering for Comets either. 😀
  12. Massive well done to the Bears. They were clearly up for the challenge last night. Congratulations to Gabin Parr and the Redcar Bears. The Pirates were not at their best last night and maybe the playoff final was where we reached our peak. All the best to all Speedway fans of all clubs over the winter break. Looking forward to the return of Speedway in 2026.
