How many would you estimate were there last night the stadium looks like it could hold three thousand easily given they have only been getting 500 odd per match it seems a stretch to think multi thousands turned up ?

Attending when I can due to work commitments on a Monday. At least I still follow and support the sport unlike the many who just gave up on the sport/club.

Fingers crossed that's the case we don't want to be losing any more tracks although the promoters take a lot of stick (justified in some cases) we can all agree 99% of them aren't in speedway for he money. Tolley is the perfect example hundreds of thousands spent but seems he's not done yet , his badge business must make a fortune for him.

I feel sorry for the fans but the track is rubbish because it’s prepared that way and the promoter shouldn’t be allowed to have anything to do with the sport ever again.

That skirmish probably did the sport more good than harm. I quite enjoyed it myself as it took me back to the times when that type of thing was quite a regular occurrence. It certainly created huge interest.😃 It makes me smile when I see the authorities quote the rule book as it just makes me wonder where it has been hidden for most of the season.

Well the 2 teams I don't like 🙃 who will come out on top ? Can see the poo (le) pilots winning at home but the tiggers of Glasgow getting a narrow aggregate win. 2morrows result depends on which Fraser bowes turns up, hopefully the good one that top scored a few weeks ago for worky. Think the tiggers may want to prove a point after the heavy defeat by worky on Saturday

The stadium situation is I think down to a 2+2=5 assumption based on stock cars no longer racing there. The reason for that is quite simply that they only raced there 3/4 times a year, and the pit space they require has been utilised for solar generators which will generate income 365 days a year. A complete no brainer from a business point of view, but no impact on speedway

I get the feeling a few clubs and their promotions dictate the rules for the rest. isnt it time to reorganise the whole system with one league, team strengths, number of riders per team, number of rides per match and the riders costing clubs a fortune and giving very little in return.

SCB STATEMENT: REDCAR v SCUNTHORPE (22 AUGUST) Tuesday August 26, 2025 The Speedway Control Bureau have viewed the footage of the incident between Jake Allen and Charles Wright after the conclusion of Heat 6 at the Redcar v Scunthorpe Championship fixture on Friday 22nd August 2025. It has been concluded that both Mr Allen and Mr Wright Breached Speedway Regulation 017.2 g) which reads - g) Breach of the Rules, any act which is violent, threatening or abusive nature to an Official, Rider or any other person. Due to this Breach, both Mr Allen and Mr Wright have been issued with a Cash Penalty and also a Warning of their future behaviour as per SCB Regulation 017.3 Both Mr Allen and Mr Wright have a Right to Appeal this Penalty as per Chapter 18 in the 2025 SCB Regulations.

Mr Tolley said on TV interview last night that there was 'no truth in the rumour that he was taking over at Sheffield, despite some banners plus a top hat with a tiger on it'!! He did say it with a smile on his face and also emphasised that he would still be involved in speedway next year!! He also mentioned the possibility of Cradley returning in 2027!!?

Depends if Shovvy gets stuck at an auction again. Hope he tells us more about it if he does this time. Really interesting stuff.

He did go to see if Jake was okay. He just did another lap around the track instead of turning back. You could see what Jake's intentions were straight away when he refused the lift back to the pits from Luke Killeen.

Describing that Tungate rode last night is a bit of an exaggeration. Me personally from watching on TNT is that he had no interest in riding in heat 3, hence his lack of frustration from being disqualified. If that was for Rybnik he would’ve been a lot more animated…

My first year watching Speedway , 1978 Derwent Park Workington v Berwick... The smell, the speed, close to the fence within touching distance to the riders... Brian Havelock (my first favourite rider), Ian Hindle etc.. Oxo drink, meat and potato pie, Cheese crisps...

Surely we ( the tiggers) can't be as bad as last time, hope to keep it close and our disappearing Dane is back for the return leg
