  2. No problem you know we’re I stand so keep it warm for me. Hope you’re well m8.
  3. Good post rich, also with ever tightning budgets clubs are desperate to avoid any financial hit that can be avoided
  4. Rightly or wrongly, we are in the situation these days where the decision on whether to run a meeting or not is decided on the basis of the weather forecast. You would think that the most reliable source would be the Met Office, their forecast predicted impossible conditions for speedway so I don't think the promotion can be blamed for their decision. As it turned out, had the meeting started at 7.30 prompt (as I think it should every week!) then its possible the meeting could have been completed. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!
  5. No it doesn’t, how much merch is seen worn inside the stadium ? Very little, I’m not having a dig at BV this is every track, it doesn’t have a brand or an identity, my son has a belle vue shirt and he is one of the very few who wear them on race night, the brand is what sells the team
  6. I agree with that, supporters dont have that bond with their clubs that they used to have. When clubs had riders that were their riders that had an affinity with the club it was different, Belle Vue had Wilkie, PC, and Mort, Ipswich J Louis, Sanders, Davey, Kings Lynn Betts, Lee, Leicester Wilson, Coventry Boocock for example, fans and riders had that loyalty to their particular club. Today the riders are hired hands in comparison, but you could say the same about football too, times change and loyalty today is to Poland and the big money. Cant blame the riders considering the risks in the sport.

  8. Today
  9. Talk of Ipswich roughing up the track, i dont think theres any need for them to do that to pull back six points against us, given our performances at Foxhall this season and our weakness at No2 and 6 and 7.

  12. Fantasy needs to be turned into reality. Excellent post.
  13. Even the one on the back straight that I have only ever seen open once on my many visits to the NSS?
  14. Don’t bank on it again. Must have been a one off. Pity he can’t do it for Scunny. As forever blue said ,that was the reserve position.
  15. Looks like rain due to stop after 16:00 and only small showers in the afternoon, deffo will be on.
  16. Good to hear that Peter Schroeck is good at something...!!!
  17. Whether Wood is better than Perry at Armadale is irrelevant as he won't cope with Grahn or the improving Loftus . After watching Hook virtually wave Palovaara through in heat 1 of our last visit there , the guest situation is a major worry for us . What these riders scored before there this season is no guarantee they'll do that as a guest . I can only assume we were forced into riding this fixture on a date when three of our riders were missing.
  18. Their final answers might have been the same... But their workings out were totally different...!!!!
  19. our track shop does very well tbf
  20. Just wondering what's happening with St.Andrews stadium when BCFC move to the old Wheels site? I think the discussion/suggestion for a new home/track, is most likely deemed to be futile as there aren't enough paying customers to merit the sport in the City? If Bham were to return it would be on the back of someone having money to burn that holds a passion/attachment to the Club/sport? (not a business plan etc etc etc....) Unless there was a unified collaboration of B'ham/Cradley/Wolverhampton/Coventry....(I know this has been suggested many times over, but the feedback is negative....)
