  1. Past hour
  2. Riders need tyres with spikes in if that’s the case
  3. He's with @PhilTheAce... who's been strangely quiet recently, hope he's okay 👍🏻
  4. What happened to the days of throwing loads of sawdust down, mixing it in and getting it done
  5. Of course he'd say that and in any case it is up to the referee not the riders. A GP would've gone ahead on a surface as wet as that. Walking on it and finding it slippery is completely different to riding a bike on it. One or two races and it'd have been dry.
  6. Bulb fused, having to wait for replacement to arrive from China
  7. A blade would have made no difference, some riders clearly didn't want it on. There was barely enough shale on there to be bladed anyway!
  8. They interviewed Simon Humphrey-Kennett on BSN and he said that, unlike a clay surface which is hard, the heavy shower had got into the track surface and it was too slippery. All the riders were in agreement to abandon the meeting.
  9. Where is the Premiership CEO? Is he in the saloon bar with Lord Lucan, Captain Oates and Shergar!
  10. Ref said they didn't have a blade, which is a breach of the regulations, which he didn't mention... I'm sure the Premiership CEO will be on the case to make sure they have one in the future 🤔😂
  11. McDairmid riding for Zielina Gora in the Extraliga on Friday. Not sure he should be riding in the Championship if other leagues have priority over him on nights when Championship teams race.
  12. Standing in my usual spot I thought they would do the same. I take it there was no blade out the back of the pits?
  13. It didn't need a blade, the track was fine. However we know about Aussies and wet tracks 😉 The track is smooth and consistent, the tail ways the dog again - a ref on the 80s-90s wouldn't have called that off. Those that turned up to watch will think again the next time there's a shower on the forecast and who can blame them.
  14. I don’t live in Ipswich but I am on a group chat with our 8 friends and they live in Ipswich and all day today they have had rain showers and even hailstorms during the day … not all day but on and off including one around 6.45 Best not to say anything if you don’t know the answer
  15. Which guests would you choose out of those availabe ? Take a look at tomorrows fixtures before replying.
  16. Agree and the sad state of affairs is that when the weather is slightly better in June, July and August you have so few meetings because other meetings elsewhere impact on rider availability. Read this week’s Speedway Star and the comments regarding the lack of meetings at a track like Scunthorpe. It says it all about how far the sport has sadly declined in this country and unless you get real change it will continue to spiral downwards. Fans become disillusioned and riders seek income elsewhere. Oh well nothing the run of the mill fan can do but hope.
  17. Is sarcasm the lowest form of wit or is that the fool who responds Never mind I’m sure that one day Belle Vue may get close to the crowd levels at Ipswich You have the best track in the league and ours is arguably the worst yet you aren’t well supported…. Never mind
  18. On the plus side, and there usually is one, we can now watch Eurovision qualifiers on bbc1 . Boy George crashed out last night… allegedly
  19. They obviously knew the world number 2 wasn’t going to put a shift in so they didn’t want the fans to feel they’ve been robbed in these hard times
  20. You will get your full quota of matches on BSN though, don’t know what you are complaining about. No point in turning up if there is a cloud in the sky nowadays .
  21. Last week, I heard we want to organise the Scottish Cup after all. Possibly because we don’t have many fixtures left… I don’t think we’ll be struggling to fit our fixtures in this year.
  22. They may have laid out for the Wardley fight last Saturday...
