Appalling move from King's Lynn. Kingston has dropped out of the team, which is a diappointment. But because they are worried R/R or guests won't score as many points as Kingston, they're kicking 21-year-old Cossey out of the team to replace him with a 33-year-old reserve? Manager Jason Pipe said "With our current situation with the team and not knowing how the guests will go, I’ve had to do one change to the team to try and get some more points from certain heats. Kenzie is at the start of his speedway career and a rider I believe will come good. We were hoping to be able to carry Kenzie in the team and let him develop with no pressure, but on this occasion I’ve had to use my head and go with that, rather than with my heart." Or in other words.... Sod development, this is about win at all costs!

To take a positive on that at least we'd all know the situation with the easy to understand, simple 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 scoring, rather than sorting around with our calculators potentially waiting for @racers and royals to tell us all who the World Champion is! But on the whole, to run these events in almost empty stadiums with coverage tucked away on red button channels is and has been a bit of a farce.

Jye is popular with the locals,but he is only decent at home at times away he is very poor when it matters IMO.IF there are changes when Battye comes back it would be him or Lasse for chop for me.

Agreed I do think to be a multiple world champion you need to avoid to many big knocks, Hancock other than that one where he ended up with his arm in another riders mudguard (which was horrific) has mostly stayed out of trouble. Hans Nielson didn't have to many bad knocks either but as you say Doyley and Freddie although awesome riders have had some pretty bad knocks over the years, sadly Tai who generally stayed out of trouble has had a torrid time last three years also. And as you say older you get the more these knocks must start to catch up mentally and physically, Chris Holder another example.

I must admit that I'm not convinced about the awarding of WC points as part of qualifying. However, when I read in the Speedway Star this week that it is mathematically possible for the championship to be decided in the afternoon at Torun in front of a few hundred fans, it did give me pause for thought. It might not even be on TV. At the very least I think there should not be a sprint race at the final round. What's the general consensus?

He's done his time and that should be the end of it. Garrity was a talented rider and thrilling to watch. I'd have no problem with him racing for the Foxes. If racing helps him stay on the straight and narrow, everybody benefits.

Another blank week for Foxes fans, with no away meetings and no home meeting until next Monday, while Belle Vue and Ipswich have a home and away fixture, Leicester two aways, and King's Lynn and Sheffield a home each.

Hard to pick between them at the moment. Both destined for the top of the sport. Cairns more a Robert lambert type of rider while Rushen more a Loram. It’s great to see and both riding for the same team only pushes them on to beat each other and the opposition. Be interesting to see who has the better career. At the moment they are both extremely raw.

I am showing my age with this comment but Ronnie Moore in the days of handicap league racing was brilliant. Starting on a 30 yard handicap at Wimbledon he would regularly be in the lead by the end of the first lap. He was also a master of team riding his partner to victory.
